Boxing day - "Oh noooooooooo, I feel soooooooo stuffed and horrible, I'm having salad and fruit" :rotfl:

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

p.s. i love your brekkie! might have to try that this year :D
  • Trying not to overdo it this year ;)

Turkey, chipolatas wrapped in bacon, stuffing, bread sauce, cranberry sauce, gravy
Roast potatoes, roast parsnips (definitely no Yorkshire pud -they're for beef only in my house)
carrots, peas (veg are low key on Christmas day -what everyone really wants is a big roast bird plus trimmings)

Christmas Pud and cream or bûche noël (for the kids who don't like the pud and opted for this when I foolishly gave them the choice of ice cream or buche noel -ice cream would have been so much easier:rolleyes: )

I don't do tea on Christmas day, but I should think there'll be some turkey sandwiches and mince pies. I make sausage rolls on Christmas Eve so there'll be those along with florentines my other Christmas speciality.

Brekkie - probably HM american pancakes with bacon and blueberries in syrup
Lunch - going non-traditional this year, it's a gammon. Trimmings are crispy roasters, chestnut and bacon stuffing, honey and ginger roast parsnips, bread sauce, chipolatas, gravy and maybe a sprout or two if I must (cook them, that is, I certainly won't be eating the smelly little ****s!). For pud, am making some creme brulees, raspberry sauce and HM choc truffles.
Dinner: leftover gammon, HM bread, chutney, ice cream.

  • Oooh, yummy, 2 of my favourite subjects - Christmas and food!

Breakfast: Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, kir royales (made with cava, obviously ;) )

Lunch: Roast rib rack of lamb with a herb crust or slow-roasted grouse(haven't decided yet so ordered both!), red wine and redcurrant gravy, roast potatoes, roasted root vegetables, steamed green veg.

Dessert: Xmas pud with custard, ice cream or cream.

    Supper: Leftovers in sandwiches.
I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!
