My PC finally appears to be in top condition. AVG has just completed and found nothing. Guess I just need to keep on top of things now and no more limewire!

Limewire in itself is ok it does have nasty uploaders who put virus /trojan in stuff more than other PtP networks .
However if your security set up lets this stuff through then its not much good to you .

Basically I was going to ban the use of Limewire because I am not sure I could go through what I have just done again but I am aware some of that is due to my lack of security - what do people recommend I should be running regularly? I have always had AVG but this didn't pick up all this stuff by itself.

The other suggestion I have had is to set up another user with no admin rights and let Limewire be used on here?

If you don't want any problems whatsoever install vmware and install linux under it, run your internet from the linux session and you will never have a problem again.
