So they are permitted to charge that much? Surely it goes against Walkers saying normal text message rate or whatever the exact phrasing is.

trouble is its probably the normal txt rate for 3

Nah, normal is 10p or there abouts. Not all these short 5 digit codes are premium rate.

Yup - I'm up at 5am to get ready for my days work.

Fired off 50+ NPN codes today around 5:10 - 5:15 and got NOWT.

My TXT's cost under 6p each (company phone, but I have to pay back my personal calls _pale_ ). So for me it's cheaper and healthier than buying the crisps.

    Tomorrow maybe

  • I'm with 3, just got my bill yesterday and got charged 10p per walkers text (Just as well since I'd sent over 200 of them). It must be a mistake, get her to take it up with them

Really? Cheers. Probably just a lazy fool on the other end who could not be bothered to check it out.

    Will suggest she calls again.
  • I'm with 3 (contact) and I notice texts to Walkers seem to be charged at £0.085. I assumed this is 85p but that doesn't seem to make sense, can anyone shed any light, and how much have others on 3 (UK) been charged per txt?
  • I think if you add the vat to £0.085 you get the 10p charge.
I won one at 4.15 am this morning after sending around 10 of the free codes ;)
  • I ENTERED 17 CODES THIS AM BUT ONLY GOT 13 REPLIES??? Should I try enteringthem again - will I get an error message if I have used the code before?
