In the last few days i been reading this fourm and thaught i might aswell give the ipod compitition a try , so i got up at about 4ish this moarning and won !
I couldnt belive it im so happy
I hope it comes with the cables !0 -
Can someone just clarify for me that the "U" in the codes is actually a "U" and not a "V".
Btw, i got my iPod mini today. I was orginially planning to sell it because i already have two iPods, but i instantly fell in love with this one so i'm keeping it. Surely another one can't hurt. I'm going to try and win another one so that i can sell it.
Oh and Pompey16, it does come with the cables. It comes in the standard Apple iPod mini box (which, if i may add, is a piece of artwork in itself), and contains all the cables, earphones, belt clip, etc.0 -
ok cheers i can't wait to recieve mine they said it should be within 5 days0

Well I've been reading this site for a few weeks now and looking at this thread.
And I can't believe it, I've just won an I-pod :T
I used the npn codes, and entered about 25 texts tonight at various times.
It's quite interesting actually that the return text says I won it at 00:26hrs.
Does that mean I won in the 00:20 to 00:25 slot or was I picked out of the bag early in the 00:25 to 00:30 slot?0 -

The draws are at every xx:x1 and xx:x6 so either the slots were 00:21 to 00:26 or maybe they just need a minute, after collecting the 5 minutes of entries, before actually drawing. Interesting query, but I don't think knowing will improve our chances of winning. Like the nice lady on the lotto adverts keeps telling us - actually entering the draw is the only guaranteed way to improve (y)our chances of winning!0 -
Just to let people know my partner won an Ipod at 05.36 this morning using a npn code. We spent most of yesterday stock piling npn codes £24x 10p= 240:eek: , we haven't bought a single pack of Walkers.
I spent £20 in texts yesterday and the early hours and got nothing. Where as he fired 40 texts off in one 5min slot and got one. Still £24 for an Ipod, bargain. I don't need one as fortunately already got a 20Gb one.
The only tip I would give is send as many texts to your outbox as your phone can manage, my partner has a Sony K700i and after setting them up was a able to send each one at the touch of a button.
The half way into the 5am slot seems to have better odds of results, but I am not going to get up to test it again. Also if you have any codes left after the last Sept draw, you can use them until Nov when one Ipod will be drawn per day.
Also I found this thread, be warned the is loads of abusive language, but lots of people desperate to win. Theres one woman who has allegedly won 5 and they'd had a go at trying to find out where she lives.
Besides even if you haven't won one, you'll probably be able to buy one ebay at a reasonable price. Loads of winners are selling them, plus Ipod are released their Nano Ipod. There's no sign on the Mini Ipod Apple UK site- a sign the Mini Ipod is old stock, hence off loading them to Walkers?:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0 -
Yer, the mini has been replaced by the iPod nano. I'm planning on trying to win another one so that i can sell it and buy a nano. But can someone please tell me whether the "U" is a "U" or a "V" on the crisp packet codes?0

You want to sell it at a profit over your costs?0
