I sent in about 5 NPN texts and no texts have come back my way yet?!0
-
I've only had one response in the last few hours, sent about 20 texts
On another note, there isn't a single person from London on the winners list (until they add me). Forget probability, just make sure you live in ~shire if you want to win!
Actually the phone went dead just as I was giving my address, hope that doesn't mean anything, they didn't bother calling back so I'll have to ring them tomorrow0 -
25 codes txt'd at 12:50am today but no win!
(about half and half npn and packets)
Oh and I live in Hampshire alltheloginsaretakenappar so what happened there thenOfficial DFW Nerd 2100 -

i.e. you can look at it as 50 chances with odds of 1 in 400
or 1 chance with odds of roughly 50 in 450 - or 1 in 9
it depends on how risk averse or risk loving you are - i know i'm going for the better chance and going to submit as many as possible in one 5 minute slot.
1 entry in each of 50 draws (with 400 in each draw) = odds of 1 in 8.5, ie better than the 1 in 9 chance if you bung 50 entries in one draw.
Plus you could win more than once in those 50 draws0 -

Has anyone actually won using this method? I have been entering 1 multi pack per draw. Thats 18 entries in 1 5 min slot vis the internet. I select a time and then open up 18 windows fill them in and send them all at once. I also use Roboform to enter all my details so I just have to fill in the code and the security code.0 -
Not seen anyone on this board claiming to have won by putting lots of entries in one draw. Most seem to have won out of the blue. When I started entering this comp I convinced myself I was bound to win. Not a sniff so far, and with a minimum of 400 (and sometimes over 1000) people entering in a 5 min slot, even at 5.00 in the morning (how sad is that), I don't reckon many of us stand a chance.

I used the trick of pressing back in the browser in firefox on the NPN site to get lots of codes quickly. I loaded these codes into my phone in the Unsent Messages to be sent at a less busy time with more chance of winning. All the codes were different, however I got a text back saying I had already used the code @ whatever time and hadn't won. Now I'm not sure whether all these codes were displaying this behavior but I wasn't going to send them all to see (what a waste of money that would have been). I sent 3 codes and all of them came back saying the same message, and i'm 100% sure I hadn't sent them previously.0

having played about with it a lot i reckon the following is the quickest and most reliable way of submitting several entries together using Firefox:
- Firstly, you need an extension for Firefox called "Tab Clicking Options" - it's available here: http://twanno.mozdev.org/
- For the 'Tab Clicking Options Settings' set the "Action to perform when double clicking" "on a tab" as "Duplicate Tab"
- Also goto http://www.help2go.com/modules.php?name=News&file=print&sid=146 and follow the instructions there to temporarily disable flash (it alters things so you must click for the flash to be activated). You can miss this step out if you wish but you'll find that when you leave the flash active the little flash timer on each of the winwithwalker's pages will seriously slow your computer and it makes firefox quite unstable if you are opening many different tabs.
- Goto http://www.winwithwalkers.com/WinAnIpodMini.aspx and fill in "Your full name"; "<!--StartFragment -->Your email"; "Daytime Phone"; "Your Country"; and tick the box next to "I have read and understood the terms & conditions". Now click "submit". The page will refresh and you'll be given the javascript popup error box - "The following information is missing or not valid:" and a long list of missing info. Click "OK"
- You may have to open up a new tab in order to see the tabs to click on (either go to the 'File' menu and click 'New Tab' or hit 'Ctrl+T'). Double click on the tab for the winwithwalker's window and the window will be duplicated (the error about missing info will come up again but you simply need to hit 'OK' (if this really bothers you, you can disable Javascript in Firefox's 'Options' - under 'Web Features')).
- Just repeat this step of double clicking on the tab itself as many times as you need.
- All you now have to do is type the 'security code' once and 'copy' and 'paste' it into each of the 'Security Code' boxes in each tab, enter your '<!--StartFragment -->Unique Codes' and click submit.
- You can click the first 'Submit' button and leave each tab on the final 'Confirm Your Details' page until you ready to enter all your entries in your chosen 5 minute slot.
That said i've not had any success yet ... although they seem to be up to something funny at Walkers because i didn't receive any email confirmation of about a quarter of my entries via the site and didn't receive a text back for every NPN text sent.
But good luck to anyone else that gives the above method a try, make sure to let us know how you get on.0 -
I won !!!
I entered 50 texts last night - 5 texts into 10 five-minute slots - and i won! Trust me, the best way of improving your chances is to enter into as many slots as possible. Obviously, entering as many times as possible into each of these slots would improve your chances enormously, but seeing as none of us have indispensible amounts of credit, i'd advise entering 5-10 texts into each slot you enter. Mine worked out as a 1/10 chance of winning - which sounds pretty good to me!!!0 -

it's curious how newbie after newbie post saying the same thing. It's almost as if there is one member that keeps signing up rather than using the one account
Have a look at the odds discussed at the start.
you're chances are not 1/10 chance of winning - if you have a look you'll see that it isn't merely a case of taking the odds and adding them since each draw is independent of each other.0
