so has anyone got any tips regarding inputting the codes in some sort of half-automated way that they are willing to share?

Iopus internet macros is too crap for the job and i've about 48 codes to enter sometime and it'll take far too long to type them all in.
  • bs7... i disagree... i am using the trial version of IM in conjunction with microsoft excel and throughput is in excess of 1 entry every 3 seconds!

    really?
i had it working fine for cd-wow vouchers
but I can't even get it to record the selection of "UK" in the drop down menu, never mind trying to get it to enter other data.

Us lesser mortals who are just using our fingers don't stand a chance against you lot of automated peeps.

I don't begrudge you winning at all, but I do kinda think it lessens my chances and those who enter like me.

  • aliasojo...rest assured we gotta buy the crisps just like the rest of ya... we just enter them in one go!... p.s... i am one step away from being able to generate all combinations of 10 letters...(not that i would do it cos its not cricket)... but i could... wonder what would happen if i did that and just set my auto program off and running lol

bs7.. i had no problems but i used the internetmacros browser rather than the i.e. plugin...

make them start with the correct sequence

then dont bother, if they detect this they will probably shut down the entire thing!

sorted now. And for anyone else that's trying to set some sort of automated fill in the forms system with iopus internet macros here's one script to help fill everything once (obviously you still need to set up some sort of retrieval from a datasource (i'm still to do that) and still need to fill in the security code)

@ </sp>sheareb - <sp>if you reckon you've worked out what's required then give it a test - as i'm sure you're aware you'll get a response if the code is accepted but nothing if it isn't. That said it does seem to log when the code was first tried for the text npn codes so probably does the same for the other codes too. So probably best to test it first with a proxy (so you don't find your IP blocked).
And of course there is the added problem of if someone enters a legit code you've already used since walkers will have your details if you do win.
That said it would be too amusing - it would seriously screw their whole competition up (given their attempts to try and hide the number of entries i'd find it absolutely amusing).

In terms of getting enough entries entered in the 5 minutes - how are you achieving this? Are you using the tabbed browsing option and setting all the windows up ready to go before simply submitting each yourself?

  • i did a lot of research on the images shown to see if i could determine the code from the image name or if there was a limited number of images. Seems like they are generated on the fly so that was a no-goer... simply keying the first manually, then doing what you are doing, followed by a couple of page backs and then repeating the process (cycling through a list of codes on a spreadsheet). by doing a BACK BACK rather than a refresh, the old code is still there as is the value you keyed. You only need to update the entry code from the crisp packet. Its very fast and i tried a test with 10 codes.

I *could* try the generate all codes via an anonymous proxy but it would just be ruining it for everyone!! and i would guess generating the codes would take some time!!
  • p.s.. i have only one tab open, the secret is to use a macro language such as vbscript to repetitively call the IMacros routing.. my macro starts an IM session...presents a prompt to say "go and get to the page, key an entry and then come back and click ok" from that point on it enteres a loop of BACK BACK....enter data....SUBMIT SUBMIT...BACK BACK..etc etc... would you like the code?
