Lloyds Tsb Fixed Rate Isa Up To 6.5% Ends Tomorrow

Thought I'd create a new thread to clarify that it does end tomorrow.

I just phoned up the specialist savings team at Lloyds TSB and they were really helpful.

You have until TOMORROW (Saturday) to open this up to get the better rate at a branch. After this the rate drops. This is the official message from the department that specialised in ISAs in the bank.

You do not have unitl 31/05/2008 as they said Lloyds have since changed the rate but the member of staff didn't explain why the rate had since dropped.

I hope this clarifies the discussions on the other boards and keeps things simple.

So the Fixed Rate ISA remains available - but with different fixed rates from tomorrow?

Yes - it'st still available - except that any applications after then will have less of a fixed rate - I think she said 5.5% for transfers over £9000 - 1% drop.
