We have just found my daughter's missing Jessie doll - she had left it in the garden. It had been there about a week and obviously got rained on quite a bit. Jessie is now pretty dirty and covered in mould spots on her white shirt. She also smells!
It's the fabric version with wool hair so pretty damaged. Any ideas on what we can do to bring her back to life?0 -
try dettol mould and mildew remover - i used it on a white duvet and results were amazing - be careful though contains bleach - can also highly recommend it for its real use bathrooms - amazing!0

Hi All,
Eventhough we leave the bathroom window open constantly I've noticed a build up of black mould on the roller blind (blue) how can i remove this?0 -
You may struggle, but see is there's anything in this thread?
I'll merge this later to keep ideas together.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
If you don't find any less harsh, more environmentally friendly solutions that work (try first), you could try Dettol's mildew remover spray. In my experience it hasn't removed the colour (but spot test first).
Would it be worth it to replace with a new roller blind instead? I think that would be the best way to prevent spores remaining on the blind to cause the same issue again. HTH!:A Thanks to all the lovely people who contribute their advice! :A0 -
When you buy a new blind spray it with one the waterproof sprays that hikers use. It really works and keeps the mould away.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I've left my car standing for 2 months, and now have got it all fixed and moving again, but there's green mould all over the passenger seat. Managed to brush most of it off, but is there anything I can use to stop it coming back and remove the few stains? The seat are black fabric, so can't use anything bleach based. Help!0

My brother had the same problem on the underside of his rear seat, we used a mild bleach solution and rinsed well afterwards (concentrate on the stains), if you can get a hairdryer in the car I'd use that to dry the seat well afterwards and hopefully kill any spores that are left.0

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove mould patches from net curtains? They are good quality ones with leaded hems that say hand wash only.
I've washed them on 30 degrees and 40 degrees and all the dirt has gone, but the mould is completely intact!!!! I don't want to hang up mouldy curtains :eek:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
