  • I am very pleased with my lucky dips (one for aged 1 to 5 and one for aged 6 to 10).

No colouring books at all and there are quite a few very good quality and interesting ones.

    Thanks to the OP :)

    Just ordered as well :)
  • Still taking orders - I've ordered four between my 3 children, £23.50 inc post. What an excellent bargain. Many thanks to fidslove.

    Best wishes, Neil
  • I am not sure if this has been mentioned before but they used to have special postage rates for certain groups.I remember that Foster parents and the disabled qualified for special rates but cannot remember what other groups.

    Might be worth asking.
  • Hi all,

I placed my order for two kids lucky dips 7 days ago. Previous orders have arrived much sooner, even over the christmas period.

So, I called the helpline, apparently the package will take another week
' as we have been having trouble at the warehouse'
and hasn't actually been dispatched yet.

So if anyone is still waiting on a parcel of books - be aware it may take another week to wing its way to you!

They offer their sincere aplogies, by the way!

Oh dear I ordered the same time as you. Haven't got mine either. Wasn't hoping to have some in time for a birthday pressie.
They took the money quite promptly though!

Really worried now as i do not want to join there club or get books sent out to me,I get tempted and open parcels for the buzz!!!Then never ending up sending them back,This happened with another club who i ended up paying £72.00 for books that have no interest to me what so ever, took ages to cancel before they stopped sending books out.

We have had problems with certain book companies. No replies to emails no follow-ups to our phone calls. Books keep being sent out and invoice after invoice even when you have cancelled. Please be careful signing up to book clubs.

I know the type of clubs you mean (been there too ) and I'm pretty sure that the Book People aren't like that at all.

I've had books from them before - they send a selection into my daughter's pre-school. I've also ordered from their catalogue/magazine that they send every couple of months or so. But they have never done the "book of the month" thing where they send it out to you and if you don't want it you have to send it back.

    honey x
