Any details on the rib of beef please?
Got 6 packs of the 200g smoked salmon today, hate the stuff but a colleague who loves it came with me and we got 3 each.
I'm now at work, but it was only a penny a kilo over priced and pack price was £10.16,some might not have the nerve but it's still an overprice, the cheese was also a penny a kilo over0 -
STOP PRESS!!! Mr T to start selling Official National Savings Premium Bonds later this year. Now imagine if there's any !!!!-up on the pricing of those!! Could be very profitable in more ways than one!
P.S. All this duck and beef etc, getting me in my folk's good books, but what about some more veggie- friendly mistakes.
P.P.S. Cant complain though as sitting here smelling very Nivea-ish after my shower and lovely piece of Finest Emental cheese for tea, isn't it funny how better the Finest range tastes when its free!0 -

Finally time for the weekly shop...bit of a palava last week getting a misprice refunded so I was only after the Nivea. Tesco Cross Point, Coventry.....the price label (and any bogof literature) were missing. Took a chance with 4, and it paid off. Thanks.
Coupons were limited to 10%. Grrr.0 -
I noticed something quite interesting tonight at my local Tesco, the self scan tills are not "voucher aware"
you can scan multiple vouchers that are the same even if you haven't bought the product. A staff member needs to authorise them on the master terminal, but they get so many requests for authorisation they just seem to swipe their cards
Interesting fact number 2, if another store has a promotional leaflet, lets say £5 off an item in Morrisons, then the tills in Tesco just knock £5 off your bill, keep your eyes peeled around the entrance to other stores, especially Morrisons
Interesting fact number 2.5 - the vouchers from fact 2 scan well after they expire which leads me to think that the bar code is a generic "take £5 off" one0 -
The self-scan tills at our local Tesco are VERY aware. I had hooters sound, lights flash and big arrows come down, pointing right at me. Well OK, maybe not that, but a voice from within the machine shouted someone over to help it. The lady removed the coupons and gave them back to me, and told me I couldn't use them. Very embarrassing indeed.

I went shopping today to our nearest city and whilst I was there I dragged my OH into the new Tesco Extra they have just built. Oh I'm so glad I did as I managed to get six packets of cheese for free!!!! We got three packets of the finest mature chedder and three packets of Tesco mature cheddar, how wonderful a £20 refund! The CS girl was great, it just makes me hate my T's even more, they know that I look out for mis-prices and I am sure the read this site so they are one step ahead of me, grrr.
When my OH passes his test we will be having sunday drives to tha various T's around here and I can't flippin wait.
No luck with the CD's I think thats a no go for me, such a same. Lets keep our eyes open for more non food items, I'm loving the nivea bargains!0 -
I was told this weekend that out Tesco is to have some self scan tills installed shortly. Just how does this work? Is it easier to use a self scan till than a normal one?0

I use the self scan at my Tesco and have had a watcher knowing I was putting same item coupons through but wasnt concerned. The putting morrisons coupons through however would be a different matter - I was told by a member of staff that someone had put a very large amount of morrisons coupons through and a staff member got into a lot of trouble for it. They were also extremely vigilant at the scanners for weeks after, taking all the coupons from people and checking them. I wouldnt risk putting other stores coupons through.
BTW thanks you to the original poster for the nivea :TAny fool can criticize, condemn, and complain - and most fools do.0
