  • (I've managed to get two tickets to see What Just Happened but when I printed it off it said Admit 0. Does this mean the cinema wont accept it?Help? Anyone?)

I don't know the answer but I'd be amazed if the cinema staff pick up on it - in my experience they barely check to see which film it is, apart from the one time I had voucher from tellten which got exchanged for tickets at the box office.
Which cinema are you going to?

Just got this email for tonights screening of choke at Bolton:
    Hello,

Due to circumstances beyond our control the Total Film/Cineworld screening tonight will NOT be CHOKE.
However, if you take your ticket to the cinema, they will offer you an alternative choice of film from titles currently playing. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Just back from watching What Just Happened at Lea Valley, decent turnout (about 70% full), I think most of us left thinking "what just happened?"

A few laughs here and there, but if ever there was a time I was so so grateful I didn't pay money, this was one of them.

    4/10

WJH - a terribly boring film. it was full of 'in' jokes about hollywood. maybe if you can play spot-the-celebrity you might enjoy it. i can't... i kept wondering where was the story going but it wasn't going anywhere. thought of leaving half way through but stuck it out as told sff i'd give feedback...

i give it 2 out of ten (because i think R de N is yummy! otherwise a zero). so glad i didn't pay for this.

WWB - thankfully my annoyance is partly offset by the fact i have already seen a a good film this week. waltz with bashir was very touching and shocking. gave me lots to think about afterwards. not just the bare bones of the war story (if that wasn't traumatic enough) but also how it was represented (it's very stylishly animated). i give that a 9 out of 10.

thanks all you wonderful MSE coders out there!

    Hi

Just got back from seeing Choke at Milton Keynes Cinesworld. I really enjoyed this film, compared to 'W' and some of the other so called funny films advertised, it was very funny in places. It was an 18 but the sexual content wasn't overly explicit, no nudity except for boobs!

    I would give the film a 7 /10.

    CHOKE ?

Reading the 2 previous posts about "What Just Happened" , I wish I seen that INSTEAD despite the scores of 2/10 & 4/10.

CHOKE's a JOKE (I think there was just the one and that wasn't very funny)

Very slow, boring and weird with a CAPITAL W.

I don't mind weird , humourous/black or not/otherwise (Milligan, Feldman, Python et al) but this was just odd and bland

    1 out of 10 - I want my money back !

  • I returned tonight from seeing What just Happened ............????? What was it all about? I stuck it out for over an hour..and despite saying I would give feedback to SFF I left - I have never left a preview before (or any other film!) It was just so boring, the "acting" was terrible (apart from Robert de Niro...but even he was not on form) Why did all these big names agree to do this film? Did they not read he script? I have left scathing feedback (and I had the additional fb form too...had a field day with that!) I cannot bring myself to give it anything - so my score is 0/10
.....oh and what was all that overly acted "paddy" that the bearded Bruce Willis had all about ???? It was a completely bizarre film!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

Lucky, lucky you. I sat through it , "Choke", thinking I should have chosen "What just happened" instead. Sounds as though that was just as bad though. Hopefully the next free film will be a good one.

Oh, I saw that tonight at Lea Valley too!
I always wonder about the other people there and how they got their tickets.

I liked the film, but then that was mostly because my boyf is a producer so I could relate to parts of it (particularly the Bruce Willis phone call!)

I'd give it 6.5/10- it was funny and I enjoyed it at the time but I wouldn't watch it again.
  • Just like one of those reviewers in the test screening in the film What Just happened i thought WHY??? What a waste of two hours of my life, i expected more than this from Robert De Niro but this was terrible. A few people walked out of the screening in Cardiff and i wish that i had followed them now.
