Oh, errr, 4/10. It certianly wasn't "terrific fun" and "funny" or whatever the poster said...:dance: That window's cracked on both sides!!0

I saw "W" last night too, and was amazed that the first time out of around 30 films, they actually asked for ID.. is this a new thing?
Good job i hadn't given my ticket to my parents
ID? Not in Cardiff. I also thought that preview films were not subject to age restrictions (so I heard). Sometime they have previews before classification has been given.
And I saw a free film some time back (cannot remember what it was) and there were kids in there - and it wasn't a kids film..!:dance: That window's cracked on both sides!!0 -
That is my point! Why did O Stone sold his soul to the devil: America or should I say North America is the one to sell the weapons of mass destruction to the world whether they do it directly or through an agent so not letting the world "know" they are the salesmen of death. And yet Stone puts the whole cabinet as if they really thought Sadam had them. At the time when the world was chanting the mantra "Sadam and the weapons" I kept saying If I am threatened to be invaded and I have such weapons I would start using them and I am a pacifist, but people repeat solely what's written on the papers, thinking is not a priority. Now why O Stone who is supposed to "know better" as a Vietnam veteran, believes the White House and Tony Blair made "an awful mistake" is beyond me. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.... And what about the attack on the famous twin towers. The company that is dealing with the building site is part of the mafia....I mean Oliver Stone the same that made Comandante. I give 2/10 because the actors were very brave and managed "to make you believe" but as for OS... very very dissapointing!
But then again, I am venezuelan and it shows I guess!Thanks to those who help us to win !0 -

SPOILERS!!
I agree that the film stating the case that they US government were "simply fooled" by Saddam was a load of old boots. But we can never be sure, of course!
And the film didn't 'make me believe' that because I'm not an American
I gave it 4/10 because it wasn't all that bad as a film and you got to see Bush in a different light (albeit from an American point of view). In fact it would have got more out of 10 if it just concentrated on his early life. Waaaay more interesting.:dance: That window's cracked on both sides!!0 -
is it only me that found "Condi Rice" really characature-ish and highly annoying.. Thandie Newton could have done better--- Meh ---0

Yes, very annoying. But that's what she's like, no? and I thought Thandie played it well. Almost too well! :rolleyes: She made Rice's manerisms like Mr Burns' (from the Simpsons).
Eeeeeexcellent! :rotfl::dance: That window's cracked on both sides!!0 -

Got to agree with both of you, Condi was the only bright spot in an otherwise wordy, dull film.0 -
all agreed about the acting:beer:Thanks to those who help us to win !0

The Times handled our complaints very well and will be sending us two vouchers to be redeemed for any movie at any cinema outside the West End. I was told the redemption period is two months. From what I hear about 'W', perhaps missing it was a blessing in disguise.0

I would give the Razzie to Thandie Newton now and be done with it. I have no idea what Condominium Rice sounds like but it was an awfully stylised impression, and about as impressive as "Tony Blair". One of the few jokes in a interesting if flawed biopic - 6 out of 10. Shame on the Leicester de Lux for letting people wander in an hour into the screening, and dither and trot about putting everyone off the film.
I agree with the earlier poster, Easy Virtue (a very patchy film - 4 out of 10) in Leicester saw a few of us scattered around a huge room. They clearly could have put it in a smaller cinema, or allowed for more free seats to be given away. It's their food sales and the distributor's payola that pays for these freebies after all. Also, I struggle to get codes for screenings at the de Lux to work until 3 days before the showdate - is this because they just don't know until then which screen to use and how big an audience they can invite, I wonder.0
