Just got abck from Somers Town Didsbury showing, pretty full, good atmosphere, lots of laughing etc.
Good film, enjoyed it, bit short would give it 7/10 would have got more if it was longer and it didn't end so abruptly. Would recommend.:staradmin0 -
Just got back from seeing "Get Smart" Sheffield.
The screening was almost full and started on time.
The film itself was a bit rubbish - two people walked out after 45 minutes. I'm glad I didnt pay to see it, but I have to admit lots of funny laughs/one-liners with certain people laughing out REALLY loud at times which was funny in itself. :-)
I'd give it 4/10.0 -
Well, that was certainly an interesting night. I snuck off work 5 minutes early and we arrived at 6pm at the Odeon Greenwich. The usher was new and tried to send us back to the box office to get proper tickets so we had to explain to him how it works! We were the very first in a quickly expanding queue - in fact the longest queue I have seen for quite a while! The film turned out to be starting late, they let us in shortly after 6.30pm, so I just watched the queue getting bigger, texting MariaLionza... who was late, but we squeezed her in at the front with her friend and they got good seats with us - in fact, I am not sure they would have got seats otherwise, as this film was definitely oversubscribed. The screen filled up in minutes and there were about 20 people left standing, who had to leave again. I do hope they gave them tickets for another screening! The film finally started at 6.45pm.
It was a total scream. There was a bit of Naked Gun to it, just not quite that silly, and I prefer Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway to Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley any day. The film didn't take itself seriously and as such was hugely enjoyable. I would give it an 8/10 because I really had fun, and the others had too!Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Totally agree with Beate about the queue and about the film.
Thanks to Beate I managed to get in as the amount of people that turned up was amazing.
The film was very funny and everyone was really on a high note. I found myself laughing all to the end. Thanks to those who help us to win !0 -
Just watched Somers Town in Sheffield the film was certainly different filmed in black and white with a gritty realistic feel. The characters are very likeable, dialogue is excellent with some funny parts. Its just a shame it ends so suddenly just as it is getting going and you are warming to the characters, for this I have to mark it down 6/10:grouphug: :grouphug:0

Went to get Get Smart tonight in Cardiff luckily i was smart and arrived at about 6 o clock there were already about 9 or 10 people there at this time so we had really good seats, by about 6.20 the cinema was really busy and late comers were still coming in 15 minutes after the film commenced by this time the cinema was absolutely rammed. The film started on time and was really funny, there were a lot of laughs and our cinema was in hysterics what with the many painful moments poor Steve Carell endured, also liked all the small cameo like roles like the ones with guy from James bond and man from Heroes. All in all had a great time and glad i went to see it.0
