Hi Red,
Sorry to hear about your brother (((hugs)))
I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
You said you knew the first name and town that an old military friend lived in. Would it be worth ringing the newspaper local to that town and asking them if they will run and article. The friend might come forward.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
good idea. You could put a small ad in the personals for help or, can you contact the Military depts and ask for their help.tigerfeet2006 wrote: »Hi Red,

The police may have more luck here, but has to be worth a go. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Hi,
I am so sorry to hear about your circumstances. Its a long shot but have you tried contacting his employer? Im sure the police may have done some preliminary enquiries, however he may have a few buddies there that could shed light on his thoughts/mood etc leading up to him disappearing. Was he in any trouble at work - this may be a reason why he didnt go in but seemingly didnt plan ahead and pack a bag (take phone charger for eg)
As far as the mobile phone is concerned - the police can establish where in the UK it was before being switched off. Make sure they know you want regular updates and stay in contact with them to keep the case in their minds. We know the police are busy but this is more important than speeding fines!
The fact that he took his address book sounds to me as if he is going visiting - are there any places you used to hang about when you were younger? It may be worth a drive around.
You mention he may have caught a metro - are you from the north east by any chance? Just asking as that is where I call home (even though I live down south now....lol)0 -
Hi everybody
Just taken a phone call to say he's been found. A friend of his managed to get in touch with him. All I know at the moment is that he doesnt sound very good mentally, he'd decided he needed to get away for a few days to clear his head and walked to Alnwick (about 40 miles away). His friend is on his way to pick him up and hopefully bring him home.
Thanks for all your suggestions and supportBSC Member 59 - AD 29th March 2008
