Some people think that you wont notice and it only makes the price about the same as you would pay anywhere elseBunnyinthelights wrote: »Helkingst,
I do agree with what you are saying somewhat but when it is a matter of a jiffy envelope + postage...£4.99? No way...
Welcome back Laura!0 -
afternoon all.
Just done the sums and this month is going to be mightily tight. I was paid £600 for my new job at the end of March and £378 for AQA today so only £938 this month, giving myself £200 for groceries and petrol, I really need to bring in £1150 a month to break even. In Jan/Feb and March I only had AQA and had to dip into my savings but I'm determined not to do that this month, although it means I now have literally no money left until pay day on the 28th.
I've got about a weeks worth of meat in the freezer and loads of potatoes and rice. Not much pasta but I won't need any cleaning stuff or toiletries and I have enough flour for 7 loaves.
I do have £30 in my purse which I'd forgotten about - I lent it to a friend on Saturday and they gave it back to me later the same day.
I've got car insurance and my teaching course fee to come out of my account and that will make me about £100 overdrawn.
If I can use the £30 in my purse as frugally as possible, I'll see how I get on.
It's a better situation than the last few months - I've been earning around £600 or so this year so far so my savings have taken a hell of a hammering.
Next month will be better. AQA has really picked up so £1150 between the 2 jobs is achievable.

I have a load of Virgin stuff (ex-demo, surplus stock) stuff that I want to sell, however, it is not allowed when you are a consultant.

when I was at the hospital, 3 pallet loads of Christmas smellies were donated by Lush (god, the smell was great to start with, but made your head hurt after a few weeks!!!), but they weren't allowed to be sold on, so a 'raffle' was held and every ticket won something.
It was a good way around the problem, not sure if you could 'wangle' your stuff to be sold on in that way some how.
That room spray you have in your living room is lovely Bunny - what was it called again? It was an orangey colour.

Jet,
I'd happily sell them-If you are interested, what I will do is make a list of what I have and PM me your email and I'll send the list to you.
(and anyone else interested)
I find selling the stuff at parties makes people spend less on 'normal' stuff.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
