thanks for your reply. He was 32 and No he was not armed at all, no one was injured,i think it was for assault if i remember correctly and the police tried to take it to court but it was dropped due to lack of evidence, it was 2 1/2 years ago, a few months before we last went to america and obviously he had his fingerprints taken when we went but nothing was said.
thanks

thanks so much for that. So does that mean they won't be able to see it when we get there?? I do feel that we are being honest in answering no but i keep being told horror stories that even if u've been arrested for anything and don't get a visa they will turn you away. i've got a form here for information held on the pnc is that what you mean??
thanks again

Hi,
not sure if this has been said elsewhere, but it looks like they will be charging $10 for ESTA renewals.
Cheers,

Hi just an update for you all, We have just got our appointment at the us embassy in London it's next friday. I'm still pooing my pants hopefully all will be ok. It took so long because my OH's passport chip had broke so he had to get a new passport before he could fill in any forms! Atleast it's next week we only booked it yesterday. Then it's about 9 weeks till we go.
I hope they say yes, I'll keep you updated

As above really.
Get a copy of your acro "police certificate", or request a "data subject request" from the local police station which will list the offence and the fact you were found not guilty. Only produce if asked, and NEVER volunteer information.
Also google "Exceptional Case Procedures for Removal DNA, Fingerprints and PNC Records" and get the record permanently removed form the PNC as it shouldn't be on there. You will have to fight to get this done.
Thanks for this info, are you suggesting obtaining a copy of my police certificate and showing them this at POI 'if asked' about my arrest? I'm worried that if i do apply for the certificate then the flight operator will now also have need for concern as they could know i applied for the certificate (passport no.is a requirement on the application).0 -

We have got a "police certificate" for the embassy, I don't think the airline need to know about this I'm not 100% I think it's just immigration.
