  • Woodchip .... should be banned!!! When we moved into our home it took us 2 days just to shift the woodchip from the living room (and it was only on 3 walls!) We had hired a steamer (best thing you can do) but it takes a lot of elbow grease. We had scored, wetted, used proper paper stripper but it was a nightmare to remove (I guess the gloss paint on top didn't help!)

    Eventually we found that if we steamed the top layer it was then easier to wet the backing layer, and then steam that off. But it did take 2 days to do this. Awful stuff. Just perservere but with a heavy duty steamer!
