Base rate could be at 4% by the time mine goes through
Yep, still waiting. Rang them on Monday and they said they'd not received the transfer cheque (although they said they'd had the transfer paperwork from Barclays). Here we go again, I thought. After 1 hour 10 mins on the 'phone to N'wide (freephone fortunately), they miraculously found the cheque. If I hadn't pursued the matter they'd have had me ringing Barclays to cancel the cheque and requesting them to re-issue it. I just kept telling them I didn't believe them. After I was assured it was all sorted out, I received a message yesterday telling me that they hadn't received the cheque! Another 'phone call to them, and I was told they don't know why I was sent the message, because they have got my cheque. Hey-ho.0 -

Are you two on some sort of love-in? Logging up "Thank You"s all over the place. blf even got thanked for a useful post whose sum total was "Tee-hee"."The trouble with quotations on the Internet is that you never know whether they are genuine" - Charles Dickens0 -
They said they have 2 week backlog when I spoke to them today0

I to am waiting on Nationwide to open my fixed rate ISA. I completed the trafer form in Feb and also ask them to put 3000 from my current account into the ISA. The money is still sitting in my current account.
When I asked in the branch what was going on about a month ago they said that they were still waiting for the trasfer check but it would all be back dated to the time when I submitted the form.0 -
I posted here a few weeks ago cos my NW transfer was taking longer than the "five days" mentioned on the compliment slips they sent me on receipt of my application. Some thought I was being too hasty, but I was merely basing my expectations on what NW had said in their written communications to me :-\
On that note, I had phoned them and they said both cheques from my two previous ISAs (which I was transferring in) had been received 05 March.
When I phoned them last week they told me the cheques had been received on 07 and 21 March (the latter would have been after phoning them the first time). I received letters from my old providers in late February confirming they'd sent the cheques.
A week on since ringing them (and being told I should receive something by the end of the week) I've still not heard anything. It makes me uneasy when I get told different things by different people at different times. So it doesn't surprise me that no one can give a straight answer about what interest rate they'll apply.
In fairness to NW they're probably snowed under at the moment.0 -

If it had been me I would have applied for two fixed rate ISAs, one for the 3000.00 and the other for the transfer in. ( just means two certificates)0 -

.
Nationwide should have automatically sent out printed slips acknowledging receipt of the transfer cheques and apologising for the delay in opening the accounts. IMO0
