These fees are set to rise and sums of £500 per week have been discussed for fostering 2 young people. I think that you may have fostered children with fewer special needs ( although, Heaven knows, they're all pretty needy!)
Yes but for £500 you need to work long hours, no peace in your own home, take verbal (probably some physical too), abuse. Be vulnerable to allegations (they all do it--I'll report you if you look at me, nada-nada ) made by confused, angry teens with an understandable gripe against society (only YOU, the carer, are THERE, ergo--in the firing line).
Would I do it, yeah, if I was starving (I've lots of experience working with kids like these, but would NOT foster em, spend time alone with one, in todays political climate!--Unless I was starving)Posted by oldernotwiser: You believe?? Don't you know?

I know you'd earn every penny of it and posted as much on another thread. I was just pointing out that the respite carer in this case might have financial motives.0
