That wonderful time of ISA's is upon us all again, and this year i am
confusedand wuld appericate a little help
i have £6000 spread over 2 ISA's and i want to open a new one with Barclays for 08/09 as this year it seems to have the best rate, however it wont let me transfer in old ISA's. so can someone tell me if i can open this Barclays ISA and also trnasfer the £6000 into a differnt ISA and if so which would be the best one??
please forgive me if this has already been mentioned somewhere.
thank you in advance for any comments and advice.

Yes you can open the Barclays one with 'new money' - and combine the existing £6k into a new consolidated ISA via transfer. Read the main site article to give you some choices for the consolidated one :-

........ failing that go to Moneysupermarket (link below) and click the 'Cash ISAs' tab to get a selection.
