Only thing is tho I've had it unlocked and flashed to W800i so have I invalidated the warranty?
reflashing the main has worked for me in the past for other problems0 -

How would I do that tho as I aint got a clue? (I sent it to some bloke off eBay to flash the initial time). Don't you need special cables or something?0 -

you need to use the cable that came with the phone. once you have posted the log up here, i can tell you what firmware to flash0 -

Thanks for the advice. I've tried this but the first two times after connecting the phone to the computer (whilst holding down C) I got the Install Software Wizzard thing for the USB flash drivers up on screen, I pressed Next but the it said "Couldn't find software / programme" or something like that.
Then every time since I just get a message on xs++ saying "Error: cannot open phone comunication port" "Disconnected ...Unplug phone"
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Maybe I haven't extracted the USB flash drivers properly? I'm no good with these RAR files!
I get three icons the first one says ".." the second one says "x86" and the third one say "ggsemc.inf" I've tried to extract each one of them but don't know which is the right one?
Please help.0 -
you need to extract the usbflash drivers (lets say to the desktop). open up the rar file, click extract (without selecting any of the files) > then click on the folder that you extracted the files to > right click on the ggsemc.inf file and hit install.
the flash drivers should now be installed and xs++ should detect your phone0 -
Thanks again for your advice. I've done exactly what you said but when I right click on ggsemc on the desktop and click install absolutely zilch happens!
I'm following your instructions to the letter. Maybe it's just my girlfriends laptop that's playing up as it can be a bit quirky sometimes. Will try doing it on our computer at home maybe I'll have better luck on that???0 -
nothing will happen when you hit install - i have just tried it on my xp pro machine.
try connecting the phone to xs now0
