I want a new phone for my new business

Hi,

Dont know a huge amount about phones, had a Nokia 3310 or something old like that for the last few years!

Have recently started my own business and now need to get with the times. I have listed the features i need below, I dont know if it is realistic to expect all of those features on one phone or if these are common on newer phones so any advice however basic would be very gratefully received!

I need:-

- a phone i can view and reply to my emails on

- a phone that I can browse the internet with (just for a few minutes per day)

- a phone I can take decent quality photos and video with

- a contract that offers unlimited free texts (or at least 1500 texts per month)

- a contract with unlimited free internet access (or at least a generous allowance)

I am prepared to spend a fair amount as it is a business neccessity but obviously would like to keep the costs down as much as poss.

Like I say know next to nothing about mobiles so any help very much appreciated.

Thanks

    Hello ilsonreject

I'll move your thread to the 'Mobile Phones' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Check out T-mobile Flext 35+web'n'walk for £37.50/month - will give you free weekend calls and probably a free N95 or Viewty.

Depending on how many weekday minutes you need you might need to go for a higher tariff still...

Sorry, no particular sugestions. But rather than just sitting there and hopeing someone will point you in the right direction, why not check out some relevant forums?

Or if you're familiar with Usenet, you could try asking your questions in the 'uk.telecom.mobile' forum: http://groups.google.co.uk/group/uk.telecom.mobile/topics?hl=en&start=20&sa=N though google.groups isn't the ideal means of viewing the group, as it shows all the spam that most usenet providers would remove.

Otherwise you could try viewing the 'reviews' of sites such as ebuyer:

Generally, ISTR reading that 02 were doing some 'good deals' on mobile data with prices starting at £7.50 a month, though that may require you to have one of their handsets. Other than that there is T-mobile http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/ who have a good mobile network though there prices may not be as competetive.

I would probably find the phone you want, then visit a phone shop on the highstreet, see what you can get out of them for signing up to their network ;)

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
