My heads been swimming with AS stuff all day and my brains beginning to hurt.. BUT... I promised I'd do an update of my earnings so far now everythings nearly balanced.

    £64.30 in savings account

Payments from customers due (Pay on delivery/friend orders)
    cust A £28 (friend)
    cust B £35 (friend)
    Cust C £38.80 (pay on delivery 25th)
    Cust D £109 (Pay on delivery 25th)
    Cust E £16 (POD 17th)
    Cust F £15 (POD 17th)
    Cust G £41 (POD 17th)
    Cust H £15 (POD 17th)
    Cust I £5 (POD 17th)
    Cust J £7 (POD 17th)

    £309.80
    + £64.30 in bank
    = £374.10.

    Money owed.
£275 to pay off money 'borrowed' from egg card
£4.40 HMRC NI bill

20% to save for the tax man.... = £74.82

    = £19.88 left over

Edit to add... next month I'm not using the egg card. FULL STOP. I must be doing something wrong...

Don't be too disheartened hun, don't forget you have covered ALL your set up costs there and STILL shown a profit - not many new businesses can say that. :T

Shame that the above doesn't cover ALL the expenses... just the 2 AS orders I put on my card.
I really must be doing something wrong here.

Going to get the egg card cleared then start from scratch and see what happens I think. I'm working my !!! off and if it's just to line the tax mans pockets I'm not going to be a happy bunny.

£294.88 is your profit hun which is fantastic, it's just you have other things to pay off this month. That's from how many parties? How many have you got in for the next month?

£300 from 4 parties, so that's about £500 for seven. So £400 approx profit next month?

Don't forget as well that although you are saving 20% for the tax man, by the time you have deducted your expenses, it might not be anything like that amount. As Gemmzie says, your Egg card is a one off expense, as is a lot of your demo kit.

You don't want to earn TOO much anyway, or you'll lose your tax credits!
