  • I use Lush's babyface as a makeup remover- it lasts absolutely ages compared to a bottle so works out quite cheap per use. :)
Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice. :(

Someone else mentioned this - but I've forgotten where and couldn't remember the name - so ta very much:T. I'm off to Newcastle today so will collect some whilst I'm there.

  • Lidl have their own range of Q10 creams and they're very reasonable pricewise, under £2 - I'm using the night cream and hand cream at the moment and they're both excellent products. The night cream is very light and fluffy and feels great on. The products contain something called Liftan - it's meant to firm up/lift skin. I've not seen any difference yet but I haven't been using it for long. I can recommend it though :)

Something else I can recommend is using Aqueous cream as a body moisturiser when you step out of the shower or bath. You can get it for £1.50 upwards for 500g (it's a big tub) and it lasts for ages. It's great as an aftersun treatment too. If you've got dry skin, you can also use it to wash with instead of soap.

What actually is the big deal with Q10? quite a lot of products proclaim to have it in- just wondering if it makes a big difference or not if anyone swears by it.

Also does anyone have any reccomendations for speeding up slow growing nails, i had acrylic extensions on about 2 months ago and am still waiting for the grooves to grow out so i can get a nice smooth base back again.

    xx

A lovely lip scrub - 1 teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of bicarb of soda, mixed to a paste and slathered on, rubbed around for a bit and rinsed off.

Sorry I haven't updated this thread for ages :o but I just thought I'd reiterate what a couple of other people have been saying elsewhere about the free delivery at ELF this weekend, in case you haven't heard!! (http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/index.htm)

There are quite a few products that have been recommended in the first post. I haven't tried them before so I might just 'have' to place an order!!

(Apparently there's also 10% off if you use the code BEAUTYCRUNCH.)

The liquid foundation called vital radiance Line Softening Makeup is brilliant, imo just as good as the very expensive lines I've tried in the past. Although badged as Revlon, it looks different from Revlon in Britain. There is also a compact makeup and a face primer, really an illuminator, in my local Pound Shop, both well worth trying.

I got a lovely bright red Christmassy lipstick for only £1.99 today. It was NYC brand at Superdrug.
I'd been in Debenhams earlier testing the more expensive lipsticks (at £13 and upwards) and the £1.99 is just as good.

I just got a delivery of E.L.F. stuff today, their blusher brush is excellent at £1.50 (real sable), the eye lash curlers have great grips on them for the price - but best of all their tweezers look very much the same as my Tweezerman pair and for £1.50 - they are great value!:T

Brushes are fantastic - kust put another wee order intoday for the lip glosses and an eyeliner brush which looks very much like the smashbox one which is silly money. Getting a free mineral eyeshadow included and best of all - the order was dispatched 90mins after placing :D
