    These are elderberries.

    Very pippy, so do not make jame.

    Make a great jelly with some apple. Alternatively, elderberry juice is the best cough medicine ever IMO. or wine.

    Yes, elderberries. I've had some drinkable elderberry wine but I don't know what else you can make out of them. You can't eat them raw but they might be good for jellies or syrups.

    Thanks, I'll have a look for elderberry recipes. At least I know they aren't poisonous! But I do have 4Kg worth

    they are elderberries, very common on most footpaths.

    I only known them cooked with or made into wine, although I did watched a chicken strip berries off one of these bushes last autumn so guess they must be quite tasty!

    Also check out pontiac sauce.

    They will soon reduce in volume when you only have the juice. Most pips.
