Barclays do not allow Online Transfers in to their ISA's!!!
You will have to phone their Savings Service Line on 0845 603 0845 and best of luck getting through!
[You could pay a visit to your local Barclays (if you have one) and ask one of their advisors ........... but they may make you make an appointment and to come back at a later date?]
Best of luck ............... !!!0 -
Do they not? Sorry for Hi-jacking this thread .. But i had planned to put £3600 into my ISA tomorrow online!!0

Its saying you need more than 1 account as you are trying to transfer money... how can you transfer money when only have one account?
You can write a cheque for yourself and go to Barclays bank and they will cash it for you.0 -
Does seem strange to me as i do have a current account . I thought the isa was my second account, and that i could then transfer money from my current account ?0

As post #2 .... the 'account maintenance' is categorised as 'view' access only for online .... so you can't transfer money in directly. Only via Branch / 'phone. More than a bit weird in this day and age .... and particularly when they do say, elsewhere, you can fund by SO.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

Have also just discovered this, I was expecting to be able to move my 3600 into my existing Taxhaven ISA from this week.
So the only way to add funds is by telephone or by appointment in the branch, that seems crazy!0 -
Or by cheque....0

Is it a Tax Beater you've got? If it is, the interest rate on this will be losing it's 1% bonus on the anniversary of when it was opened, the rate will then only be 5.50% AER. If you wanted to stay with Barclays, you'd be better off opening their Tax Haven, which is 6.50%, for your 08/09 contribution (which includes a 1% bonus for 12 months - unless they withdraw the bonus earlier), instead of adding to the Tax Beater.0 -
it is a tax haven version0
