don't get me started on not phoning up. oh left on monday and i finally got hold of him late last night to find out if he'd got there ok. 'i turned my mobile off because i left the charger at home and wanted so save the battery'. i've given up worrying if the plane has crashed / he's been kidnapped etc. maybe i should resign myself to the fact he's not actually got a job over there - he must have another family!!!

Mudbath, pigpen do your guys work away all week every week? o r dop they manage a day at home through the week. My oh is out all week minimum 4 nights as the flights are booked 3 weeks in advance to save on pennies.

Gonna do a swish and swipe over the donwstairs tonight as i have dental appointment first thing tomorrow, try and give myself another headstart.

then someone else will tell me off for having a silly long list. :rotfl:

Was just looking at the one for tomorrow, and it is starting to get shorter.

Moam we will all be thinking of you i am sure, and here for you if needed.

Johanne - pain relief - i didn't go to the class last time either. DH now claims he is an expert in all things RE: pain relief in labour  (he was asleep for a good hour of it from what i remember,)
I was trying to be the martyr and not have pain relief last time, but DS was laid facing the side rather than head towards my back, and it hurt. I had co-codamol which made me vomit, a warm bath, that was nowhere near hot enough to help, TENS machine was good for about half of it. Diamorphine killed the pain for about 3 hours, then you couldn't have any more for the extra hour. Epidural was fab and killed everything, but couldn't tell when to push. Would only have if an emergency. Gas and air really knocked me out. I ended up so out of it i was falling asleep between contractions that were less than 2 minutes apart, which DH thought was hilarious. In the end they took it off me as they were getting no sense out of me and wanted me to sign paperwork for a C-section and ventouse.

I think this time, i am going to have to say - no co-codamol, as active a birth as i can manage, massage and TENS again (free to borrow as in Surestart area if i remember to ask next appointment - if i get that far, as the MW wasn't sure i would today.) Epidural if need be. Didn't like not being able to move around for hours though.

Anyway, nighty from me - might watch telly for a bit with my rug, but i certainly can't sit here any longer.

    Michelle, x
