i know just where you're coming from pigpen. my oh works away through the week and he's just phoned me to ask which weekends he can go up and stay at his parents and another weekend at his friends. thing is, i work saturday's so i can't go. why didn't he get his a**e into gear when i was off for the last 6 saturdays???? because he's a man!!!!! so, i won't see him at all for three weeks apart from when he picks up the children and drops them off. i may as well divorce him!!!

Nah.. if you divorce him his parents have claim to his life insurance when you finally kick start the heart attack! ;)

And.. I probably wouldn't mind him working away.. it is when I know he is supposed to be coming home and he doesn't turn up that it pee's me off.. if he actualy said.. tonight I'll be home about 8pm.. that's fine.. but he never rings or mentions it and I spend most nights waiting for the plods to knock on the door.. THAT narks me!

don't get me started on not phoning up. oh left on monday and i finally got hold of him late last night to find out if he'd got there ok. 'i turned my mobile off because i left the charger at home and wanted so save the battery'. i've given up worrying if the plane has crashed / he's been kidnapped etc. maybe i should resign myself to the fact he's not actually got a job over there - he must have another family!!!

Tia, I'd have cooked it and refrozen it. Happened to me before and that's exactly what I did, mega cooking session.

Pigpen, definately with you on the 'it's when they don't say which bugs me' DP can be away and come home whenever he likes as long as he's considerate enough to tell me. Got sick of cooking a meal and him being 2 hours later than he said, getting something out of the freezer for dinner the next day to be told the next morning he's going away for the day/few days etc etc he doesn't see a reason to tell me and says I'm being too demanding/stopping him doing things etc which just shows he listens to nothing I say. If I'm 5 minute later than I say I will be if I pop to the shop or something he's on the phone, think that winds me up more.

Little Matthew been, spat food on me, pulled the dogs hair etc etc and now gone :rotfl: he's a little cracker. Wouldn't think he was the same seriously poorly baby who nearly died. He's fab. Might be looking after him some days when his Mam goes back to work, that'll be fun :rotfl: DP will definately 'be busy/out' then :D

Only took me less than an hour to get everything clean and tidy enough for guests :D impressed.

    Sorry embb...!! :o

Probably not the best time to mention OH has called to tell me hes walked out of work cos his dads took a turn for worse and been moved to ICU and so has gone the hospital to check on him?!:(

Is it selfish that im hoping he back in time to take me to antenatal class?? :o:o:o

Its our last one.. and midwife is covering pain relief in labour.... the most important one for me!! Wont be able to get there alone as its a 40 minute walk from here and i wouldnt make that far... and were not meant to go alone anyway - id be the only one without someone there! We missed it last month when we were meant to go because i was sick which is why were meant to be going tonight! Feel guilty wanting him with me not with his dad... but ive really enjoyed the lessons and learnt alot and i dont know anything about the pain relief bit... although i expect i'll just be asking for "the drugs... give me the drugs!" anyway... id like to at least have some idea what drugs i can get pumped into me! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Managed a HHC of my own and have got 1/2 a binbag of cr*p paperwork etc out the study/nursery.

Also got bit of the living room tidied and some baby stuff organised.. managed to finally fiddle with my pram now its here not at OHs and try and understand how it all fits together! (i got it 2nd hand off ebay, bargain at £100 - £500 in the shops! ;) ) Looks so cute.. !! We bought a new car seat that would fit the chassis too so been trying to fit that! Least now i know how to use the pram, just gotta figure out what to do with the little monster that goes in it! :D

Got a load of washing in... kicking myself as i should have done it earlier as its been a nice day here - perfect drying day!! Lets hope its the same tomorrow...

Must go and brush my teeth and await OH to text me and let me know if hes taking me to antenatal class or not... (oh and pop this little baby back in... shes trying to escape out my side again!! Think she needs a compass and directions......:rotfl: )

    Try the obvious first..... fuse?

Tried that  Checked it's not the socket as well by plugging a lamp into it. There's no humming, I turned the fridge thermostate to 5 and the back part hasn't frozen up like it usually does at 4  Looks like I might have to have a look around at fridgefreezers tonight :wall: You know that £720 I've saved this year

can anyone tell me if i'm being unreasonable. just before the easter holiday ds came home from school with what looked like a sissor cut in his brand new (first time on) school trousers. he said he caught them on the table. today i've noticed a cut in his school jumper. he's admitted that he cut them both when he was doing art 'to see what it would like like'. do i make him pay for the school jumper? it's £8.50? he's always breaking things or ripping them and i want him to realise it's got consequences. do i just ask for a few pounds towards it? so far i've not yelled i've just told him why he has to stop. any help? xx

Mudbath if he's doing it deliberately I'd make him pay the full cost, little monster. My oldest rips things and he's made to pay for them, little monster :rotfl:You could also have a word with school about keeping an eye on him when he's cutting things. I have some tear mender stuff I'm going to try on his, sewing them didn't work well (probably down to my sewing ability)

Yep, I'd make him pay or not buy him something he really wanted because you can't afford it as you've got to replace his kit - but then again I'm a mare!
    I'd rather be watching CSI!
