    Did you sprinkle the sugar on whilst the fruit was frozen ? or when it was defrosted?
    I think if you sprinkle it on when you first take it out to defrost - it "should" dissolve into the liquid as it defrosts...

    I use icing sugar on fruit as it dissolves instantly with no gritty bits.

    its called summer berries or summer fruits - brambles, rasps, strawbs, and loads of wee berries in red and black. He says I'm trying to poison him... I said dont gimme ideas. I will try both the suggestions, ty.

    OK, the wee berries are red currant and black currants:) They aren't really bitter but they are very acidic and will make your mouth pucker if you eat them raw. I'd cook any fruit mix with currants in it with some sugar;)

    OH has this daily on his porridge but puts some honey over the top and nuts.
