I have downloaded Martin's planner but it says Macros are disabled because the the 'publisher has not been authenticated'. Also says my security is set to High.
How do I get around this please?

I have the same problem myself. It IS really difficult. However, if you have been trading over a year try this, which is what I do: use how much you earned last year as a template, divide by 12, then pay yourself a 'wage' (another piggy bank) based on your total less what you need to save to pay for tax, NI, costs of running the business and any saving you are doing.
My big problem is dipping into tax money if people pay me late, as they quite often do. Any suggestions on this gratefully received - I might start another thread actually to deal with this.0 -

Any advice on how to adapt budgeting for a self employed musician whose monthly income is wildly variable? Eg in Jan earned total £600, in June £3500. I feel I can't afford anything because I can't begin to average things up, so at the moment all I do is work out how much I need to have to pay the bills...0
