No, I've had my Sipgate number for around 2 years and not credited any money on it, I use it for incoming and calls to 0800 / 0808 numbers. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Strange ... I don't understand why it doesn't ring on my pc or show an incoming call. the test call number works fine. The user's account page also logs the calls which I missed. ... but still doesn't ring my pc

so ive read through 23 pages and my heads spinning!..
i've noticed voicebuster site states...
"Registered users get max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days. Unused free minutes cannot be taken to the following week(s). If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply"
..this is no good to me, im a business user and those minutes would last me 2 or 3 days. so the next option is to use voicecheap... but i remember someone saying that you cant set it up in xlite. can someone clarify this for me as i'd like to use sipgate to receive calls.
also, ive seen a linksys ata spa3000 adaptor for £65. i dont care about the cost, but can someone tell me if it would work with my setup... i have a router connected to my telewest modem and pc. would i just plug the ATA adaptor into the router and the plug my digital phone into the ATA adaptor?.. would i need two phones, one for incoming and one for outgoing?... or is that where xlite comes in?... arghhh confused!!...
can someone please please try and work their way through the above and answer my questions, i hope they make sense but im feeling dazed after trying to read this thread!
thank you in advance.
edit: voicecheap website isnt working so i cant confirm for myself if their uk calls are totally free, or charge a connection fee. anyone?0 -

If you have been issued a VoIP-In number, then yes it can be called from a landline, just like any number can. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
I know this thread is about free incomming calls, but can someone tell me is there anyone out there that provides free and UNLIMITED outgoing calls?
After reading their small print, Sipdiscount, Voicecheap, Voicebuster etc all have a limit of 300 mins a week, which is no good to me.
Anyone out there that can help?
Thanks.0 -

Thanks for the quick reply. I need a SIP provider. I'd like to use Sipgate for incoming calls, and another provider for outgoing calls. However, 300 outgoing minutes aren't enough. Is there any other option appart from Skype?0 -
I've just had a thought... can someone please clarify the following for me.
I wish to purchase two Linksys PAP2's. One for me, and one for my girlfriend. That way we can use your service like a normal landline.
The question is, would i be able to ring her for free if we both sign up to Sipgate?.. no connection fee, no charges per minute?
I understand calls are free to OTHER SIP providers, but does this include free calls to users of Sipgates OWN network?
I would just like this clarified before i purchase two Linksys PAP2's. So, to sum up, could we both call each other and receive calls 100% free of charge.
p.s i have emailed sipgate but they only work mon-fri.. so IF i get a reply, it'll be sometime next week.0 -
