into what?
If you pay (say) £500 in £5 notes into your account, and then immediately ask to withdraw £500, I wouldn't be surprised if you were given it in £20 notes.
Why do banks always seem short of the other denominations?
Barclays told me when i paid £10 in 1p's and 2p's that i could not exchange some for a £5 note ... so i had to ask if i could use the cash machine to withdraw the £5 to be told "well what was the point in you giving me this change" - probably because i couldn't use that on the bus home ... idiots ...8,000 / 10,000 saved. Another 2,000 by April 2011!0 -
Luckly I have had no problems here with the Halifax/Bank of Scotland.....
1. Go in and ask at the Business Banking Counter for lots of Money Bags.
2. Count and bag all the money following the guide of how much of what coins to put in each bag.
3. You have to hold an account with them to pay it into, as they won't just change it for you.
4. Go into the branch, to the business banking counter (where they can weigh the bags) and pay them into your account.
Another option, I used to work in a Bingo Club and they really didn't mind changing bags of cash for people if they were already bagged up etc.. as they can easily weigh the bags and use the money in prize payouts etc.."Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass....it's about learning how to dance in the rain"0 -
