AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

It is so frustrating! It seems that every single day now, it is hit or miss whether the site will load properly straight away. I used to notice that on the hour every hour, there was a small delay of up to a minute. This now seems to have extended up to 2 or 3 minutes where the site just stops. This happens every single hour on the hour.

Please sort it out. It is sooooo frustrating!

    I access this site form home and work and never notice a delay at all - or at least no more than any other site.

    It has slipped back to how it was before and pages regularly do not load as swiftly as they could. Perversly, just after a problem they load instantly.

    Yep, noticing the same problems. Sometimes things load fast and then it takes a few mintues for things to load. Every so often its just impossible to get on the site.

    However saying that, it is still better than before the upgrade.

    The reason it gets slow and then suddenly fast is the processes all jam up, and then it clears all processes to get going again so suddenly its fast - but refer to my above note!

    I thought it was just me!! I changed my IP and thought it was turning out to be a dodgy connection, in a way I'm glad to see it's a problem experienced by others.

    Yup, I've notice it do this over the last few days and yes, sure enough, it is on the hour, every hour.

    It just did it now at 0800hrs!

    Ive noticed this, every hour regardless..Is kinda frustrating, but hey thats just a small inconvenience in the grand scheme of things!!

    I have the answer...

    The first letter of your username allows you to post at certain times - minutes 01 to 26 and 31 to 56. For example, if your usename starts with A, you can post at 1 minute and 31 minutes past each hour, B at 2 and 32 minutes etc. Minutes 27-30 and 57-00 are left free to allow the system to catch up with housekeeping.

    Usernames starting with 'MA' (Martin) can obviously post at any time.

    Same for me..............every hour on the hour, the site goes to dead slow and stop for about three minutes.
