There is a stand with all the left over GWPs on it at one of my local Boots. On it are home printed cards saying "Free GWP if you buy Olay (or Roc, on the Roc pile, or L'Oreal on the L'Oreal pile) in the 342 Skincare Promotion."

That's made me think there might be a problem with the wording of those signs Val.

Last week, when I shopped in all of the 3 main stores locally, there was a lady, all suited and booted <- in Boots style funnily enough :D taking pictures of all the displays on 342 on skincare etc.

I only remember it because I was tempted to say that she could have given us a lift in her car ;)

    Would this work?

    Buy:
    Roc moisturiser - £10.99
    Roc eye cream - £11.99
Olay FF Total Effects hand cream - £6.49
And (handing over last so it's not the cheapest on 3 4 2) Olay toner

    Roc total is £23 - £5 coupon = £18
Olay total - £5 off olay and free toner = £1.49

Till takes off £6.49 because hand cream was cheapest in 3 4 2

So I pay £13 for four items AND get the ROC gwp bag.

OR I could get face wipes instead of the eye cream, thus knocking £5 off the price for a total of £8 to pay.

(and please note, I want to make the minimum Roc purchase in order to get the GWP -- the question is, if the Roc total comes to less than £15 after I use coupons, will I still have bought enough for the gwp? also, someone said at her store the minimum was £20, so I may have to adjust my buy based on my store. -- wait, just realized, I'd hand the coupon over *after* they scan the gwp, so it should work.) :)
It would take off the toner as the cheapest item the till doesn't care what order you put things through Orlaith confirmed this for us some time back. The Roc £5 off coupon counts as a manufacturers coupon and doesn't count as a discount for the total spend criteria so remember the total spends points.

What is the £5 off olay from?

It's probably a rep employed by an external agency working on behalf of the companies involved in the promotion. They take photo's of the stands, shelves and stack ends to make sure that stores are implementing them ok. It also shows that the rep has been to each store and that they are doing their job. Some suppliers will pay for extra POS to be displayed at certain locations hoping that the customer is more likely to buy their product than that of a rival.

Thanks for clearing that up Neo8. That's exactly what she was doing. :)

Edited to add: She was holding a sign next to the 342 skincare products, with the store name and the date.

It is the PC coupon for use with Total Effects products.

Edit: I should say, it's for TE moisturisers, which includes hand cream.

These ones were "home made" signs, not pre-printed. So someone in the shop made them, I think.

Come to think of it I saw a Boots SA wandering around today taking pictures of the baby care shelves. Ordinary assistant in the white smock thing. I wonder what she was up to?

Is thinking she can do a 'home-made' sign for sneaking on the stand to get the gwp (JOKE GIRLIES !!!!) lol :D

Seriously though, I do wonder how we actually are supposed to fathom out what we need to do to get a gwp  ...... as I said in my previous post, i've not come across any signs yet. Tell a lie, the Expert tin was the only gwp i've seen a clear and concise sign displaying criteria !

Ohhhhhhhh only 6 days to go before ACM is changed .. yipeeee ! Shame it's 3 days before payday though !

Same as up here then Val (apart from those I just mentioned which were felt-tipped and just throw-away ones).

Those you mentioned are all over our stores locally, aren't that difficult to see btw, but were more in evidence when the Mother's Day items were on display.

They were hard to miss, as it was quite clear that one store in particular, had emptied the S&G sets from the Valentine's Day sets to put on the Mothers' Day displays. There was S&G everywhere - with those 'home made' signs in front of them ;)
