  • Morning all :) Thanks for starting the thread for PP this week Vanoonoo - i'd never sort myself out with meal plans without my weekly kick up the a*** from PenPin lol :rotfl:

Ok its half term next week so will have DD to feed for dinners too but they just tend to be simple things so shouldn't cost too much. We're going up to Glasgow on Mon til Weds so no meals for mon/tues. Main meals as follows...

Fri - Quiche, baby taties, cold meats, salad, coleslaw
Sat - HM burgers, wedges and salad
Sun - Roast turkey joint, potatoes, carrots, green beans, babycorn and gravy
    Mon - Away in Glasgow
    Tues - Away in Glasgow
    Wed - Spag Bol
Thurs - Egg, chips and beans
Fri - Sweet and sour chicken, noodles/rice, mini springs rolls

My lovely gran gave me a 1lb of mince, 10 rashers of bacon and a pack of chicken breasts so thats Wed and Fri's meals sorted and the bacon will be for butties for OH and his mates who are working on our house this weekend. Already have mince for HM burgers in freezer plus turkey joint wth cranberry stuffing that i got RTC. So no meat to buy this week, just fresh stuff :) I love my gran! :D

Have a good week all :)

    Hi everyone,

    Last weeks mealplan went well!!!

My new kitchen goes in, in about 2.5 - 3 weeks time. I really need to use up all the food I have at home as I'll have no-where else to store it. I have food (tins tuna, beans etc) above my cupboards as they are overflowing. I have an upright freezer and a fridge freezer full too.

I say it every week, but I just can't resist a bargain. Then when I make spag bol/ chilli/ lasagne etc; I make a huge batch and freeze it in portions. So my freezer never seems to empty.

Any hooo, enough rabbitting on, here's this weeks meal plan......

TODAY: Quiche lorrainne, waffles & beans.

FRIDAY: Roast chicken, roasties, mash, carrots, peas, stuffing, yorkies & gravy. (DH is a driving instructor, he teaches me on a sunday, so I make sunday dinner during week instead).

SATURDAY: Chinese pork chops, spicy wedges & salad.

    SUNDAY: Spaghetti bolognese.

    MONDAY: Chicken curry & rice.

    TUESDAY: Stew.

WEDNESDAY: Chilli & rice or baked potato (leftover stew for kids).

THURSDAY: Pork loin roast, mash, roasties, mashed carrot & parsnip, green beans, stuffing, yorkies & gravy.

Looking forward to reading everyone else's plans.

    YUM YUM !!! :j :j :j

Sunday: Beef with all the timmings

    Monday: Spag bol

    Tuesday: Steak,mash, cabbage,peas,carrots & onion gravy

Wed: Cajun Chicken, wedges & mixed veg rice.

    Thursday: Fish & Chips
  • I think I will join in this week too - have been slacking with the meal planning recently.

Today: Home made rag puddings ( not home made by me, my friend gave me 3 when she made hers for the freezer last week, cooking now smells delish :) ) with new potatos and peas for me, with chips and peas for OH and kids.

Friday: Salmon fillet with pesto and parmasan smeared on top, with new potatos and broccilli.

Saturday: Roast chicken, stuffing, mashed potato, broccilli, cauliflour, green beans, cabbage, carrots, yorshire pud, gravy.

Sunday: Don't know yet, might go out for a pub lunch somewhere.

Monday: Spag bol from the freezer with garlic bread.

Tuesday: pea and ham soup from the freezer and I have some part baked baguettes in the cupboard to go with it for me and OH - kids don't like the soup don't know what they are having yet...

Wednesday: Battered fish portions, chips and mushy peas ( and lots of buttered bread ).

Breakfasts are cereal and toast for the kids - I don't eat brekkie (yes I know I should...)
Lunches are soup / sandwich / jacket potato basic things like that.
