All the posts complaining about someone else using their photos on Ebay,or even using their text....go on to use a previous posting in a "quote"......if that's not stealing someone else's idea to make your point clearer.....then i dont know what.....Please refrain from using this post in any replies.........and dont quote me........

Point users to the particular terms and conditions on this forum that prohibit the use of direct quotes and we will all adhere. Otherwise since this forum is open and public *and* has a quote button people will continue to directly quote at will.

I have a folder on my computer called "stealing photos" If I see something I wanna sell on ebay I wait for a couple of weeks after they have ended then use the photos! never had a complaint in over 500+ feedback! 100% positive! I get fed up with listing stuff so just use other peoples! they don't like it then I will withdraw the pic and take my own!

I was going to say 'just call me Miss Bossy Boots' but I have a feeling there is a user on here called Bossy Boots and wouldn't want to offend....

As for your sig line, very apt <smile>

Well that's hardly surprising is it, seeing as someone can't leave feedback for your auctions unless they actually win them, and the people whose photos you stole are hardly likely to want to buy what they've just sold, are they?

other people using your photos and descriptions happens - i have no objections to it, particularly if i have already sold the item? Why would i care?

If you see it as a problem, then put your ebay id across the bottom of the pic. There are ways to prevent or minimise it - personally - life is too short.

i've had someone use my photos on a BIN product, only they undercut me by £2. at this moment in time, there is only me selling this brand new product on a regular basis, other sellers are selling used.

so thats why i wasnt happy that they copied, my same title, photo and description. and placed it to end at same time, so they were listed next to each other :(

Sorry to have caused any bad feeling's, I was just annoyed as I had more of the items that I had taken the photo of to post on ebay the same day as someone else used the photo, otherwise I would have been a bit annoyed but not as angry as I was.
  • the last time i used someones photo

they sent me an email saying 'i see you like the pic i took' lol

i did reply asking if they had a problem with me copying the pic, they was cool about it.

i don't mind people using my pics but i do object to them using copy and paste with my text... as that takes ages
