welcome to the fold!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
No, he knows he shouldn't have been speeding - he's not the boy racer type and especially when he's working he is usually very careful to stick to speed limits because his job depends on it. All I can think is that he thought it was a 40 area, but he'll have to be more careful from now on."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Anyway, in other (expensive news), he has just dropped the car off to have the towbar fitted.....not sure when we are going to go away, but it will be nice to know that we can!
Hope we get the money from the magazine thingy soon, because our accounts are looking a bit sparse.

Don't forget you can get into hot water/not be covered if you don't notify your insurer and employer if in the small print of insurance/employement contract.0 -
Cat, he's definitely going to get fined unfortunately because hes had a notice of impending prosecution (sounds scary ). He doesn't think there are any speed cameras on the road where he got it, so it must have been a mobile one.
It's his first speeding fine, but worryingly he's still in his probationary period at work.
Maz - yes, new medal - do you like it?
Check the details - the time/date/how many days until NOP sent if any are wrong (and they often are) it won't be valid (not an excuse I know)0 -
His work already know - they are the only people who knew who was driving that van on that day, so the police must have contacted them. The NOP was sent outside of the usual 14 days but I think they can get away with that because it's a works van, so they have to do additional investigating to find out who was driving.
He will have to ring the insurance company, but I presume not until he actually gets fined? No doubt it will increase his premiums, which he will have to cover by having slightly less spending money, or doing an extra bit of overtime.
He will double check with work that he definitely had that van, but he was delivering in that area around that time, so I can't imagine it's wrong unfortunately.

Lol Elli, you know, I can't even be bothered to get cross! I'm not over the moon about it, but in the grand scheme of things it's not that important really (she says, now she knows it wont cost £1k...lol)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
