If it's always in the same spot it could be that she's recognising the smell as if it were a litter tray... check out the OS board for tips as you've need something strong to get it out so she wouldn't smell it anymore.

I had her checked a few months ago, shes been doing it for ages now but I somehow manage to keep an eye on where she is and make sure she is not left alone in the pee corner room:rotfl: cats are crafty tho and sometimes she sneaks in and hides!

She had a full check up as the vet was convinced that she had an infection and her liver function was failing...but all tests came back clear £112's worth of them:eek: . she put it down to old age and confusion:rotfl:

Just wondered if there was a really good way to get rid of the smell out of the carpet as no matter what I put on it she still goes back to the same spot.

Good news about ste's bonus Sar xx

Maybe worth getting one of those big pads for old people and babies and seeing if she might pee on it? Maybe place her litter tray on the pad on the pee place? Gradulally moving it back to the normal place.

Always a danger she will just go pee elsewhere of course. and not wholly practical if it's slap bang in the middle of the room.....

Maybe slap a piece of furniture over the spot so she cannot pee there?

And get a second opinion on the cat pee smell, i think you become immune to it when you have cats, my oh always tells me when the litter tray needs done and i haven't noticed....

IA - what's the news re Ste's bonus?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Thanks for that:D The corner is right where a door is so I couldn't do the furniture thing but maybe I could buy some of the absorbent pad things and give it a go as its in the dining room only the family go in there and I suppose if any visitors arrive we could make a mad dash to remove the pad from the corner:rotfl:

I agree on the smell thing, I notice it when I come into the house from being out but then my nose just gets used to it, Its not really bad tho but want to keep on top of it if I can. OH says dont worry she wont last much longer as she is 16, Nice isnt he?

Don'know how he can be so offhand about it, we lost our other cat last summer due to mouth cancer, she was 15 and he cried like a baby in the vets when we had no choice but to let her go. Tigger has got worse since we lost Tess tho.

Oh dear!! Who was driving? Mind you, but for the grace of God! I'm terrible for speeding on the main roads. I try very hard not to on residential streets where there might be kids/dogs/old people... but i'm murder on the open road.

I'm half expecting the car hire company to forward something to me from last weekend. It was amazing driving on motorways, there just aren't any 3 lane roads north of Perth really so it was pretty amazing to drive on. But i'm sad and nerdy and love driving... I don't know how i managed to speed in a 1.4 Astra mind you (the hire car) my normal car is a 2.8 v6 and it goes like stink. Not very MSE mind you!

    It wasn't me, honest...:rotfl:

    Flippin' men!!!

All I could find on the internet was that doing 39 in a 30 area would mean 3 points and a fine of up to £1k! Rather relieved to be hearing the £60 figure...:o

Guess who is having no spending money for the next month.

Same thing happened to us, we lost Bentley 2 years ago now and Jensen was very lonely and her behaviour has changed a lot since then. She's about 10-11 years old... bentley was younger. Since then the cat from 2 doors away has moved in but they don't get on, they just kinda thole one another. I try to kick it out but it's actually moved itself right in now!! Cats, eh!

    Tigger n Tess, nice names!
