Hi People,

Would like some advice please just took out a brand new contract from e2save on the O2 network on the 27th of march received the phone next day had my number ported across on the 31st and my first bill came on the 1st of april direct from o2.

It is a cashback deal for 12 months sending in 4 bills months 6,8,10,12.
Right when i ring e2save their advisors are giving me wrong information each time some telling me to send my septembers bill as the 6th bill and some telling me to send octobers bill. Some advisors have even refused to talk to me as they are saying all billing is done by o2 direct and i need to speak to them.

Could some PLEASE advice me how i work this cashback system out??????

Also is it free to ring o2 on my mobile dialling 202 and also are all 0800 numbers free within my inclusive minutes?

Thanx

Hi there, all cashback issues are something that you need to go to e2save with. 02 do not do any sort of cashback at all, the cashback is offered by the retailer (in this instance e2save) and 02 simply bill you for your agreed contract. If e2save try to tell you otherwise, it is pure rubbish. Secondly, ANY number that is not a UK mobile or landline, aside from any non geographic numbers that are used to access 02 customer care will be 100% chargable. best to go on saynoto0870.com.

I work for 02 retail so I deal with these god awful cashback deal enquiries on a daily basis. The RETAILER is responsible, not the network, unless the deal has been obtained from the network directly either through retail stores, online sales or telesales. This is why the networks don't bother with these cashback deals, way more grief than its worth.

On my first bill from o2 it says i can ring 202 on my mobile for o2 customer service and its free. Is this correct? even though i bought my phone from e2save.

Yes it will still be free, and your 6th bill will be the 1st September.

True that the 6th bill is the 1st September but E2Save want the 'month 6' bill which is the bill you get 6 months after connection - which would be the 1st October bill.

I have had a similar problem with 2 different advisors telling me to send in different bills. I recorded the last conversation in the event that I have problems later. However, I am going to write to them (again) to get them to confirm the bill I need to send in writing... though according to the T&Cs it is the 1st Oct bill you need to send.

No doubt mobilejunkie will say this has been mentioned and answered many times before.... so treat this as a reminder! :D

I have a feeling that E2SAVE is messing up cashback on purpose. The paper with the handset asked for the 6th bill, which would be in this case around 1 Sep, but the email received after the order was approved asked for the bill that is 180 days after connection, which would be 1 Oct. Also, I just noted the information under "cashback" at mycashbackclaim.co.uk has also been removed.

Hope someone could come up with a definite answer to this query? It is a good idea to get some sort of confirmation in writing though!!

Curiously enough so has mine. E2save are trying it on with my 4th manual claim in an 18 month contract saying wrong bill received, all docs returned with note scribbled on the actual bill they said wasn't there "latest bill needed".
Covering letter had absolutely no contact details other than the 0871 number. How professional.
    LBA on its way.

Ofcom are quite aware of E2Save's Cashback process and as soon as their General Condition comes in a few months time, they will be on the networks case as E2Save are clearly miss-leading the general public, and the networks are still allowing them to.

A nice bill of 10% of their annual turnover may be on it's way, if this miss-selling continues and the networks Cherry-Pick who their code of conduct applies to.

If someone from 02 retail can post on here about the nightmare of these promotions, how comes the network is allowing CPW to get away with it.

Make them jointly liable, then they won't get away with passing the buck all the time.

Cashback is fine if you know what you're doing. Most don't and it's partly their own fault. E2Save's antics are extremely well known as are the solutions.
