I've never had that problem. I would suggest asking for the delivery list fist though so you can check substitutions. They can accept them, obviously because my drivers do (and I have had two separate stores deliver to this address). I suspect your store is just being difficult. My current store actually employs someone PT to put refunds back on cards!

Phone (sorry to suggest that!) CS and ask them what their policy is re subs you don't want.

I never knew they had a delivery list fist.Is this the same one we can give Tescos if we are not happy....like the two fingered salute.

Oops! Though, from what I've been reading recently, you could be right, I think there are a few people wanting to give a fist or two fingered salute!

Heck so much hassle! I eventually got an email back saying they were refunding me for the faulty items but that was 8 days ago now and still no sign of the refund in my account. I've mailed them again but I would imagine it will be ages before anything is done. This was for an order delivered on 11th Aug and it's still going on.
    Thanx

Whenever I have ended up with substitutes my driver always presents them to me first along with the delivery note / print out. Also, everything is always bagged carefully...ie, usually 1 item per bag (sometimes 2 items if I'm very unlucky). Refunds are always done very promptly either by customer services, or when sending something back with the driver.

I suppose I must be near a good store.

It may be careful bagging to do this but it drives me nuts. I hate waste (and love recycling) so when I end up with 20 bags after a not that big shop I have to put them all in the cupboard for re-using. My cupboard is now overflowing with carrier bags and every time I reach in the back to get stuff out they all fall off the hook and on to my head. Grr!
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

That part of my post was meant to be scarcastic. OH does car boots, and so he takes the extra bags with him to use there, so its no major problem for us.

Tesco's seems to be down to the local store for On Line shopping, I tried them about 5 times over a period of 2 years and on every occassion they screwed up and in the end I threatned Court action over mouldy food delivered to me. I never use them now, but my sister has no problems with her local store on line. I now use ASDA on line, and have placed over 20 orders all without significant problems, they also give the occasional bonus gifts like a Christmas pudding Free. Never go back to Tesco (and I'm a share holder!)
My Mind wanders, if found please return.
  • Hi

I am a driver for Tesco.com and i would say that the best thing for you to do if you have any problems is either phone the number on the top of the receipt to go straight through to customer services and be dealt with straight away, or, and this is probably your best option, ask the driver that you have for the direct line for the Dot Com manager at his store. He will probably have no problem giving you this and if you ring this number you can speak to the manager straight away who will deal with your problem on a personal note.

Xela - your driver will have your bags off you to recycle - they have recycling points for baggs in the store. I think its on the website somewhere, but I give them my bags back!
  • Today I had 24 mince and onion slices delivered by tesco along with my other food shopping, I didn't order them and tesco won't take them back or give me a refund, there is no way you can order 24 of anything by mistake, I think their website messed up, they say this isn't possible, anybody had a similar experience???
