  • Hi SDW - Oh the miracles of modern dentistry! I sat in the chair, within seconds he had injected me with rocket fuel and started immediately. Basically my lower jawbone holding my lower front teeth was shrinking and the teeth were loose. It was out with the loose teeth,(4 of them) in with some powdered bone, then the implants, on top of the implants went the bridge, click, and I was done. Apparently the powered bone will fuse with my jaw to provide new solid bone around the implants.

Hope this is not too much detail?????????? Thank the Lord for co-codomol. Jaw is stiff and sore today but otherwise ok. I am hiding at home for a few days as I have a chin like Bruce Forsyth. As I said it was a miracle. No pain whatsoever during the op.

Noticed you were on your way back on the 30th. Any chance we will see each other?

'Fraid not MW, our ferry sails at 2000 hours, latest check in at 1915 so we have plenty of time to get there from the Midlands and won't require an overnight stay.

    Thanks for the offer though!

SKI-ed this weekend in East Yorkshire.

A young family who we know from Spain have returned to the UK and live on a farm in East Yorkshire, so we went up to see them yesterday - returned today.

Lovely part of the world and we enjoyed seeing our friends, especially their adorable 14-month-old baby girl, who is our surrogate granddaughter. We'd not seen her for six months - you can imagine the change! Walking, four teeth, feeding herself (the baby was doing OK too! :) ).

Glad we were able to go. next year they may have moved to Cambridge, so we'll go to see them thera. Never been to Cambridge, so looking forward to it!

I think it was not far from Hull, on the way to Driffield, and it was indeed beautiful.
Wednesday we start our journey to Spain, arriving in Bilbao on Friday morning and Yegen Friday night.

    Hi Skiers,
Not a lot occurring at Digger Mansions, comings and goings, not much else.

Didn't get a main holiday due to the fact that Mrs.D spent 5K on what I had already said I was going to buy. So we both ended up paying 10K when it should only have been 5K.
As you all realise, it was her fault we didn't get away to China, not mine.

Anyway, planning to go to Bruges for a comfort trip, anybody been.
What would you say is a must not miss.
She gets no chocolate, that's for sure. I get all the beer I want.
It really, really, really was all her fault.
