Although I agree that anything you get from Quidco is a bonus, I do think that those who read about the £50 offer "until midnight April 6th" and intended to sign-up today have a right to feel disappointed with Betfair and/or Quidco for reducing the amount.

The £50 amount was HEAVILY promoted on Quidco, so how can they now act surprised and claim that "demand was waaayyy higher than expected"....??

If you have a limited bugdet for promotions like this, then don't give false hope by quoting a deadline date. The date of 6th April meant that many potential customers could relax & think it all through before signing up. By suddenly removing the offer, many people missed out and now (quite rightly) feel a little let down. It's simply bad customer service to promote something you know you might not be able to deliver.

Any competent company would have removed the chance of alienating their potential clients by simply not providing a date & stating something like "limited time offer - will be back down to £30 soon - sign up now to avoid missing out!" That to me, was a real "no-brainer" (in the words of Quidco)

And if anyone's wondering, I signed-up yesterday and £50 has tracked - so this isn't the rant of someone bitter at missing out!

    But it was initially £30.

I hate it when people complain when they get something for nothing or something for next to nothing. Not often can one genuinely say "I got something for nothing".

And the person complaining said they were "disgusted", rather harsh
  • I've signed up to betfair via quidco and paid £25. However, it will not let me bet as it says it can't confirm I'm over 18!!!! So i tried to confirm by trying to pay the £2 it wouldn't let me pay it as it wanted a credit card the only credit card i have is american express (as I get cashback) and i also have my visa debit card (which it won't let me use).

It says i have to send a photocopy of my passport or driving license, but, I want to bet on the grand national tomorrow!!!

I emailed them with my driving license number and also my teaching registration number, do you think this will be ok?

    My youngest child is 19!!!!

    I don't know what I can do:confused:

    Thanks in advance
  • Has anyone please got the phone number for betfair? Can't find it on help pages.

I have forgotten my username as my usual name had been taken. Already dep my £25 too

Go to your account - top left hand corner.

Click on Withdraw funds from Betfair

Enter the amount you wish to withdraw.

    And thats it.

I've got my £25 quid back! :D Nice spot Martin. Got some cash on the favourite, so even if my other choices don't win, I've at least got a decent chance of getting some free cash.... ;)
