Betfair are far from perfect but you are trying to get them on the busiest day of the betting year so will need to be patient with them.
Thank you Jessicamb. I've just managed to get through and they're going to to a check against the electoral register. Fingers crossed that will happen in time for me to put my bet on.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
well I did everything carefully. (Hate putting money up front lol) Paid using my switch card so no fees incurred and £25 in account. Put a £5 bet on 5 horses, 2 favs, 2 middlers and 1 with good odds.
E mailed them to tell them I am middle aged and have lived at my house foer 20 years!
Went out for evening. Came back 9pm, and had e maila sking my age verification. E mailed back and explained no scanner (Thats ridiculous anyway cos you could be anyone really) Not heard back, but bets seem to be there after some scoyuring about. can't see anything about suspended bets.
Thankfully it is now showing there is £25 available to withdraw which i can do after the race. (How do i do this, do i just click withdraw funds and it puts it back in my bank account?)
No sign of quidco yet, but so long as I have my £25 back, i shall keep my fingers crossed for my geegees and also hope ferverently that all the geegees get home safe and sound. That's more important than me winning any money.
And shall keep my fingers crossed that quidco tracks, as that'd be a great bonusI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -
Have just doen this once for myself, once for hubby & once for my dad, all via R-points (who a paying a measly £15 cashback but I find them a million times more reliabe than Quidco) but............ Have just realised that in all 3 cases I haven't put in the promotional code, or bet 5 X£5 but smaller each-way bets....doh.....that's £75 I've thrown away:mad::o:dohPost Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Ok, finally made the jump and placed my bets! Quidco tracked £30! Hooray!
Only gutted cos Betfair just wouldn't play last night, not giving me address options and therefore not letting me register, meaning missing out on that extra £20, ah well will make it up when i win
Good luck everyone and thanks for all the advice :T0 -

to win means you are betting on your horse to win the race. You don't get any money if it comes second, third, fourth etcThe early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
Just placed my bet - spread nervously over a number of horses who's names I like(!). Got my £30 tracked on Quidco. So I'm in profit already. Waiting for the £25 from Betfair (know that won't happen immediately).
So I should be £30 up. After the race can everyone who wins something declare it on here, and state whether they would have made the bet otherwise - so we can see who made the biggest profit off of Martin's wonderful tip?I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. submit a higher cash back claim at rpoints https://www.rpoints.com/hcp and they should match Quidcos cashback rate (less £5 once a year for the Quidco annual fee). The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
still not tracking on quidco, is it because i put in martins code instead of the quidco one?Dear Lord,so far today i am doing alright. i have not lost my temper, been selfish or rude.i have not cursed, whined or eaten any chocolate. HOWEVER, i will be getting out of bed in a minute and i will need a lot more help after that...amen0
