Free £25 Grand National bet

Yes, I got the same but if you select it through the horse racing tab as described in my previous post, it's ok.0

Have you already signed up?
My account was suspended when I first signed up because they couldn't verify my age - the betting page has suspended written on it. If you ignore that and go to My Account you will get a popup saying they need you to verify your age and tell you how to do so.

The tenner is the quidco minimum that you must deposit and wager to get the £30 cashback - a separate issue from the betfair free £25 bet.
Can someone please explain why when I select a horse to back I can then change the odds. Like Cloudy Lane is showing as 6-1 ish currently, but I can click the up arrow to make the odds increase to whatever. Obviously I prefer to back the favourite at 50-1, but I can't see this being possible. Why does it let you do that?
It's a betting exchange. You can ask for whatever price you want, but unless someone accepts the offer there won't be a bet.
Take the price on offer generally. Just to answer a question from somewhere else, SP is a relic of the early days of bookmaking and has no real advantages unless a horse starts looking unlikely to win near the off. It's pretty irrelevant in the Grand National which is basically a lottery.0 -
Just a thought, and maybe the Betfair regulars can help here, because their website is loading slowly for me....
But you guys who have already withdrawn your 25 quid back - will you be able to withdraw any winnings you might get? I'm just thinking there might be a minimum withdrawal amount? And if your winnings are less than that you'll need to put more in to get it out?
As I say, I have no idea because I can't get onto the website at the mo.0 -
Just noticed on quidco they are now offering £50 cashback for a new account with £10 deposit! Does anyone know if I'll still get quidco as I created my account but it said it was going to take £50 from my bank so I changed it to zero and finished creating my account. I then went back into my account and deposited my £25.0

Right, i have placed all my bets to the value of £25 and they have been "Matched" whats the average wait to get the £25 bonus back into your account??
Also as i used a Visa card to i still need to verify my age??:beer:0 -
OK, another question. If I wait til tomorrow to place my bets when I believe that you get your money back for non runners (this was mentioned in postings yesterday here), what happens if one of my horses doesn't run. Won't that mean that I won't have placed the full £25 worth of bets and then I won't have fulfilled the T&Cs so won't get my £25 refund?0

1) If I sign-up through Paypal will I have age verification problems?
2) Is there any more security in signing-u with Paypal as opposed to signing-up with a Visa Credit Card?0 -

If it's a Visa credit card your age is verified because credit cards aren't issued to underage people.0 -
I kept coming up with the suspended page also, so I got in touch with them, and they said a couple of really cool things
firstly - the code used is for ANY bet and once you place a £25 bet, it will deposit £25 back into your account.
now, to place a bet on the grand national, go to the homepage, click on sports and on the lefthand side there are loads of sports, headed "all markets" and starting with "american football".
go all the way down and find "horse racing today's card".
go all the way down to "aintree 16.15" and place your bet (or you could choose "aintree (dist) to bet on the distance or "aintree (place)" to bet on a horse coming in up to third or fourth place - you will get back less but you have more chance of a win)
hope this helps!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
