    Hi,

I have just sent an email with my passport copy to prove my age. Do you know how long they take to verify? Wonder if I will be able to place a bit before the race start.

They have no hesitation in taking my money though, my 25 pounds is already in their account. I could not even withdraw it without proofing my age.

Don't wait for a reply as they did not reply to my "age confirmation" email. I just logged back in and placed my bets again and they were accepted. Good luck.

the quick bet screen is still frozen after I picked the horses and clicked 'place bet now'.....

and on my betfair account page: 'You do not have any current bets in this category'

i guess I shall close down the quick bet page and place bet on the normal screen instead?

Yes place it the old way

How fab, got my £30 tracking on Quidco, won £18.36 already( good old Pompey!) Just need Simon or Slim Pickings to win and I'll be QUIDS in. Hoping by mixing a football bet that I'll still get my £25, it does say sports bet so fingers crossed. Had a bit of trouble working out the Betfair site though wanted to put horses each way but didn't know how. Tried to ring OH, a bookie, but strangley he was too busy to help!!! Good Luck to everyone who has put a bet on xxxx

On the age thing I phoned helpline who checked my age by checking electrol roll(?) only took couple of mins.
Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

From what I gather from other posts, they will remain unmatched until the start of the race if you have placed SP (starting price) bets.

thanks will sit and wait and hope i win, yes did place sp bets.

you will need to send ID to get the £25 refund withdrawn

I've already withdrawn the £25 without verifying my age as it's not winnings.

If you go through the code on the betfair website itself, at the start it says 1 £25 bet or 5 £5 bets.
(this is a different code from the one martin posted)
Does this mean you cannot put, say, 2 pounds on one horse, and 3 on another etc?

Because my OH went through the betfair website and now thinks he may have messed it up with the codes etc.

    Anyone know?

did you use a solo or electron card? if not you might not have had to send ID anyway
