Did you check that the total amount you were betting was £25 before you confirmed? how many horses did you back at £2.50? were they to win or Each Way?

Reread your message seems you bet upto your £25 limit looks ok

I bet on 10 horses £2.50 each.

When placing each bet it did say win, i thnk! It's just when you click on that little graph next to the horses name in your bets there is a red -25 against most of them a couple have a green + amount

so is normal that the ones i haven't bet on say -£8 in red?? and the ones I have bet on say £xxx in green?? Sorry, I am just terrified I have messed up somewhere, but it has only taken the amount i have bet from my account. If anyone can offer me reassurance that would be brilliant!!! Good luck everyone

Betfair only do a straight win, there is no each way betting.

To check your bets, you click on 'my account', a new window or tab pops out and you click on matched bets. see your list of bets under 'matched' bets

I'm sorry - I'm in a rush and don't have time to read the whole thread. DH registered and placed his £25 bets last night as did I. This morning he had an email requesting verification of his age, he's scanned his Driving Lic in and emailed it back. My account has had the £25 credit sitting in it since this morning but his still hasn't - is it because of the age proof thing - will he not get his £25 refund and what about his bets will they be void - anyone know.

Phew! Have finally placed my bets now.

In the end I placed 28 pounds instead of 25 pounds because at the time one of the bets was unmatched so I was worried I would not get my 25 pounds back from betfair.

Anyway, it is done now. Thanks everyone for your help.

The + and - are different because of the different odds of the horses you have backed at.

To make sure you have bet on the correct horse and at what odds you've bet on, click on 'my account', a new tab or window pops up and you click on matched bets, then check your bets that are 'matched'

remember if you pick a winner, you pay 5% commission on your winnings.
