I suppose that for a true ebay wedding, one partner will have to buy their other half via ebay... wouldn't that be scary? :rotfl:

Not as scary as some dates i went on when single ..........at least you can check the returns policy on ebay!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mumzy, if you need any cross stitch advice let me know! I've been stitching since I was 12 :D It's my regular destressing method in the evenings!

I went on plentyoffish for the dating.... definitely worth it :j Off to Longleat with new OH on Saturday, bit shocked by the entry price on their website but I have a little bit left in the budget...

Has anyone any frugal tips for fly & midge spray? I left the door open all day and now the hall window, which is one I can't reach to the top, is a mass of midges on the INSIDE! I can't use repellant as that would chase them all over the house and I can't release any other creatures that midge-munch for a living as that would be silly, so, heeeeeelp... anyone? :o

Longleat is really good & can make a long day of it. Take a picnic though if you can. Prices are high but anything you don't use can be used next time you go (within a certain number of months; possibly a year). Worth checking if tourist info centres have lower prices too for entry as they often do for their local attractions. Sometimes get money off vouchers in the local papers (Western Gazette - try visiting their website).

Also in the summer Tesco quite often have discounts on tickets there. Maybe other supermarkets do too.

    Evening all,

Well i been to libary and got myself a cross stitching book and kids got some books and i have to say i LOVE the libary lol

I have been doing some cross stitching (only 6 squares so far) and its addictive!

NYK Are your grow bags outside or indoors? i dont have any room outside so what do i do if i have to put them outside? When do i transfer them. They only been in plant pots (2) for about a week, oh and i have 12 tomato plants so far!! Strawberrys havent appeared yet tho.
My friend is giving me a potatoe pot holder also so i can grow my own potatoes.

Does anyone know the prices of a cross stitching set? where you get thread, pattern etc included in the pack?

I have heard that if you put the herb basil in a pot near the open window then flys etc don't like the aroma so won't come in, it would be worth a try, if it doesn't work eat the plant. I hope this helps Nyk.

I bought my sister 2 new cross stitch kits off ebay for less than £4.00+ P&P but still a lot cheaper than buying new from a shop.

Aahh, cross-stitching, I used to do that loads when I was younger but have kinda stopped now. I might dig out my old thread and stuff when I get home to see if I have enough to make a father's day card :) Hope you enjoy it mumzy! I was always the worst for starting a big project then getting bored 2/3 of the way through, lol.
