rathga - £15 a day!!!! faint, swoon, choke etc!

have you heard about the adopt a jumble-bee scheme? you could give up the food for just one year and adopt me for over 26 months!!!!! i would make you a lovely packed lunch, and you could keep me by your desk at work so i could make you coffee whenever you wanted

scary fact - one years work food budget also = about 7 and 3/4 years of my all-in food budget

mumsy - bingo starts at midnight tonight, and lasts for 24 hours

i have got a reputation from the young people on my course as a mad frugaller - i found 2p and was very excited, and they discovered that my lovely new coat cost me 4p.....:rotfl:

    Congratulations Marru:j :j :j

Rathga:eek: If I spent that daily at work that would be almost 1/3 my wages just on snacks:o You could have a cracking holiday each year with the money you would save by taking in your own stuff:rolleyes:

Had a lovely day today , took my oldies to Manchester to see Joseph, then to a carvery for tea on way home. Free ticket to show as organiser :D and carvery and drink was only £4.60 so quite a frugal day out.Went during work time too so even got paid for going;) Took sweeties and drink in my bag mse style to show:rolleyes:

going to check out future shows for them once I have caught up with everyones threads.

    Hi everyone
I hadn't read this since page 47 and couldn't beleive we are on page 54. It's just taken an hour to read and thank all the posts. My silly sence of order mens I can't miss any out.

Bad things - I left the greenhouse door open and heated the village last night. Then I forgot to get cat litter so phoned DH to get it. Cats have luxury cat litter from village shop. I thought he would go to petcity.

I've done a spreadsheet of spending but I'm still not sure what to include/not include

April food - £306 which I'm really fed up with. It does include 15kg bag of rice
    April stuff - £86
    April bills - £284
April DH beer - £140 mad!!!

    March food £163
    March stuff £48
    March DH beer £188
    March bills £211

    Feb food £140
    Feb stuff£ 44
    Feb bills £265
    Feb DH beer £85

Jan food £265 (includes 'back to uni' boxes x 2)
    Jan stuff £82
    Jan DH beer £73
    Jan bills £376

I wish I could do the shopping but as DH is 85% retired he keeps popping in for bits without looking in the cupboard first, always buys brands and then packaged cakes and biscuits, oh well, at least I have a job to fund it and I'm saving my target each month. This is my 'moving house fund' for when I retire to my small holding (well I can dream too)
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me

Think its going to be a strange day

Trod on a dead mole at the foot of the stairs....courtesy cat no 1
Trod on some guts in the kitchen....courtesy of who knows
Can smell a funny smell suspiciously like something dead in the living room (husband in bed so not him)

    Happy May Day :j

Congrats to all who have had good news.
Good luck to Bingo sad people. Please remember rule number one:

You have to be drunk to win :rotfl: I think I am still in the lead with my £400 :j
