..and a few soap and shower anecdotes too!
Only joking. If I report this to the CC company I shall of course be 100% honest.
It's just thetone of their email reply that has annoyed me so much.
Another thought - As I bought this over the internet can I return it to them at their cost and get a refund under the distance selling regs? Another company is now selling it cheaper anyway.
Unless the item is faulty, you would still need to pay postage.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Was the tone of their email like this "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"?
Now THATS annoying (please excuse me,I have tonsilitis, and I have probably got high on my medication)0 -
Rabbitmad - if you really want to get you own back then dispute the whole transaction - you didn't give authorisation for that particular transaction did you? You gave authorisation for something else
I think I must need a life too :rotfl: :rotfl:Embrace your inner Hillbilly

Just under pay them a penny next month!0

Just pay it! It's only a penny and far more hassle than it is worth. If it's the principle thing, then just ignore it and move on.
There are more important things to pass the time."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
(SUPER SCAV) TUT TUT WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO IF YOUR THAT HARD UP I,LL GIVE YOU DOUBLE 2P LOL  YOU COULD BUY 2 TIMES 1P SWEETS ROFLBasically I bought something online and when I got my Credit Card bill I had been overcharged by 1p.
I emailed them to complain but their response was that I shouldn't be worrying about it and if I had any "real" queries that I should reply otherwise I should get lost (basic tone of email rather than actual words).
Obviously if the email had been appologetic etc I wouldn't be wanting to pursue the matter but it wasn't so I want justice now.
What should I do? Can I sue them or could I dispute the transaction with the Credit Card company?0 -

DMG suggested that would be fraud.
I think I might let this one go, this has been a very useful hour's session and I didn't have to pay the therapist this time so true money saving.0 -
This is a brilliant idea. It reminds me of when my buddy used to use telephone banking to transfer 1p to me after I bought him a penny sweet. The lady on the phone couldn't stop laughing.0

Um - I know a lot of people are suggesting that the person that has been overcharged by 1p forgets it but ..... what if the company that overcharges by 1p does it to every customer thinking that no-one will bother complaining?
After all - didn't a computer geek make millions by stealing just 1/2 cent worth of interest from every bank interest transaction his program dealt with?0
