Took out a five star warranty to cover everything possible, sounded wonderful. Had a problem with an electric window not going up after 30 mins of trying. Click4warranty said go and check it out at a garage of your choice and to contact them with the results. The garage had the same problem and felt that it was probably the regulator. Click4warranty said they wouldn`t authorise repair as it hadn`t failed completely. We contacted them again for an explanation. They told us much the same. We asked if we had to wait until it failed comletely and they replied that they wouldn`t fix it then because they had already rejected the claim. Waste of money, total fraud !!!

    You have one post.

This means unfortunately no one is going to believe a word you post.

most these things are a waste of money. warranty direct use Nationwide Autocentres who could'nt fix or diagnose a pencil sharpener,
everything has to completly failed and most items fall under wear and tear
  • My Leasing Company use Nationwide Autocentres.

The mechanics have a hitching post for there horses when they turn up for work.

too true i spent 2 years with that shower. 99% of warranty companies use NW, most issues were wear and tear. so bearings belts or anything that wears is not covered.
best advice dont bother set aside a few quid each month for repairs

You don't have to go with their recommended repairers and can go with your own apparently. Does anyone have a good experience of click4?

they will do all they can to get you in to NWA (reduced labour rates)
still better off setting aside a pennys each month
  • no experience with Click4 but i can certainly say that after some initial teething problems with Warranty Direct - dodgy paperwork when i bought the car, not WD's fault (but they could have been a little more helpful) - i have to say i have been more than satisfied with them. All my claims have been settled with no issues.

However, Nationwide... i have nothing good to say about them!

Reviews for warranty direct seem to be quite good. Plus you can opt to chose to use franchised dealers (for an extra premium). I wouldn't usually bother with things like that but I'm trying to sell a 2.5 year old car that wasn't serviced according to manfacturers timescale so looking to see what the cost would be.

Wear and tear is usually the get out clause. Warranty Direct publish their policy on wear and tear, basically decreasing % parts cover as vehicle mileage goes over 70,000.
